I think the soup was a little runny, I, like others would reduce the number of cans pureed to one and leave the other two whole as well as reducing the amount of beef broth. I realized towards the end that it needed more spice and added thai red pepper sauce for some heat, cumin, smoked paprika and cayanne. I think coriander would be good too...didn't think of it at the time....I didn't seem to taste the pumpkin so I'm hoping the next time I make it the reduction of broth will help bring the flavor through, overall though a very hearty soup. I didn't have any ham so I threw a little bacon in it and it added a nice, smoky flavor.
