Okay find myself fustrated with my recipe search for ways to cook this steak... We've had the chuck steak before and I've successfully grilled it on several occassions... used it in salads and as a main dish... Right now though I would love to use it in some other way...

Tonight we set it to marinade until tommorrow... hopefully by then I will have some clue on how its gettin prepared... ALL suggestions would be more than welcome....

Thinking that I will wind up crock pot cooking it and calling it a day... with some taters and carrots... The temp has dropped here and shucks looking at the calender i see that it is the first day of fall... So bring on the stew.... lol...

Got an Iron skillet? If so preheat skillet in oven till it reaches 500 degrees F. pull pan out and place chuck eye into skillet for 30 secs then turn over for 30 secs, Place back in oven for 3 min, turn over for three min. remove from pan and let rest for 3 min the enjoy. Chuck eyes are just the end cut of the ribeye. we cook it and treat it like we would a ribeye steak!

Don't confuse chuck eye with regular chuck. As Terry Trip says, it is the end of the Rib Eye, same great flavor, little more chewy. Really good value for the $. I marinate mine in soy, honey, garlic, ginger. Pat dry and broil. Best left at medium rare. Usually serve with rice. Let us know. I don't think crock pot is going to be good.
