Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2013
I almost never come back and rate, but this dish was amazing! I followed the directions exactly except I had to sub regular veg oil for olive oil because hubby is allergic. We just finished the meal and even my very picky 7 year old loved it. Hubby said " save that recipe!! " I also pinned this to pinterest.

Chewy Chocolate Cookies I

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
I've never had any luck with chocolate chip cookies. They usually either fall flat or are too tall and cake like. Not these!! These are as close to perfect as any cookie I've ever eater, let alone made. I kept the recipe exactly as is. Didn't add a thing and I'm glad. If I had added extra flour they would have been too cake like for my taste. All in all a GREAT cookie that I will make again and again.

Abbey's White Chocolate Latte

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
I'm drinking this now as I type. I can not believe how good this is! I didn't have cream, just used milk 2% and didn't have espresso, just brewed strong Maxwell house. And still it's one of the best cups of 'coffee' I"ve ever had! Thanks for sharing!

Taco Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
This was pretty good as is. Husband really liked it, I thought it could use some tweaking. Next time I will crush up the chips and layer them with the meat instead of just tossing them on top. also I'll use some salsa and less sour cream. It's a good starter recipe IMO but nothing to wow over.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
I made these at Christmas for my family. Followed the recipe exactly. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the cookie wasn't as sweet as I would have liked. Next time I will add a bit more sugar. I would recommend that you keep the chocolate candies unwrapped in the fridge until ready to use and then as soon as you put them into the cookies put the entire tray into the freezer for about 2 or 3 minutes so the candy doesn't continue to melt and make a mess.

Chocolate Yule Log

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 only because I did not make the Mocha Buttercream Frosting. I was wary of it because of some of the reviews it got. The cake itself was surprisingly easy to make. I was actually worried about how it would turn out because I had never mad a cake like this before. It was a little lighter in color than I expected, but it tasted great. The very best part though was the Mocha Cream Filling. That I would give at least 5 stars!! Even my kids loved it. I got several compliments from my family about this cake and I plan on making it again.

White Almond Wedding Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2010
I made this cake for a birthday party. I also made a chocolate cake for the same party. This one was the favorite out of the two for everyone. I didn't add almond because I didn't have any so I doubled the vanilla. Delicious! It's more like a pound cake with out all the fuss of making an actual pound cake. I added a layer of raspberry filling to make it extra special - and it was! It also held up well under fondant. Very good cake. I will use this one again.

Mahogany Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
Sooooo good! I followed the cooking directions and then about 5 minutes before they were done I made a dipping sauce using soy sauce, honey, molasses, chile sauce, garlic and brown sugar. Used corn starch/water mix to thicken it. Wonderful dish! My kids want me to make it more often.

Au Gratin Potatoes II

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
Delicious! I doubled this recipe to feed 5 adults and 3 children at my Christmas dinner. It stole the show! Even the ham and turkey didn't get as many compliments. The only change I made was that I didn't add the onions because my brother does't like them. I only gave 4 stars because my only complaint was that the cornflake/butter ratio was a bit off for my taste. The top never got crunchy because there wasn't enough cornflakes to soak up that amount of butter. Next time I will just add another cup of cornflakes. Everyone should try this, though. It was fabulous.
