About this Cook
I'm 19 years old. I came to Canada shortly after turning 18. I'm currently a student, and living with my husband. I've always enjoyed cooking, especially baking. I'm always looking for recipes to try out so I can become a better cook.
My favorite things to cook
Any type of dessert. :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well, my family wasn't full of many cooks. However, every holiday I would always help my aunt cook. We cooked things that we never have any other time of the year, and just spending time together was nice. Now that I live on my own, I've stolen a lot of her recipes. She has the most amazing recipe for Christmas cookies.
My cooking triumphs
The first time I cooked without a recipe. I made rosemary chicken.
My cooking tragedies
Making gingerbread cookies from a mix. They are definitely best made from scratch.

Kale Orange Banana Smoothie
The flavor of this is really good. However, I do think it needs added ice (or use frozen bananas). I made the recipe as-is (except I used oat milk in place of water, and added a spoonful of chia seeds for an added nutritional boost), and it definitely didn't get anywhere near pudding consistency. If you're going to make this, don't add any additional liquid until after you've made it. I think most people won't want added liquid. Also, I highly recommend the chia seeds! Not just for the nutritional boost, but they give smoothies a frothy and creamy texture that is just amazing.

Famous No Coffee Pumpkin Latte
Thanks so much for this! I LOVE pumpkin lattes, but I have stomach/digestive issues and therefore can't drink a lot of coffee. This is perfect!

Never Fail Chocolate Chip Cookies
These cookies were perfect! They were crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. I baked them for the minimum time. The only change I made was to use 1-1/2 cups whole wheat flour instead of all white flour.
