Chicken Wild Rice Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2013
I just LOVE the smooth velvety texture of this soup! The curry is a great little note. The mushrooms add depth to the soup. The only thing I'm always unsure about.. I love the almonds, but the crunch reminds me of under cooked rice. So I'm not so sure about it. I think next time I'll just use fewer of them. Great recipe! its snowing here today and its just the perfect thing.

French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
5 Stars for simplicity, taste, texture... Its great. AND I didn't have to do it the night before. I added cinnamon to the egg mixture to incorporate with the bread. If you are having trouble with soggy, or eggy bread... try using french bread, cute into large cubes, combine the bread with the egg mixture instead of just pouring the egg mixture over the bread. Someone else suggested challah bread, that would be great too. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars IV

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2008
There just isn't much to say... these are amazing. Super simple and yummy! Thank you for sharing this! I did add a Tbs of peanut butter to the chocolate as someone suggested and my chocolate had a very nice smooth texture to it. None left after church!

Broccoli Salad IV

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2008
This was truly delicious. I took it to church tonight and there was none left over. However, my dressing broke down and was almost like water. I added some sour cream to try to thicken it some, (which gave a fabulous flavor by the way), but it didn't help. I'm giving it a 5 because it truly is tasty, and I know the runny dressing was totally something I did wrong. thanks

Seven Layer Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
This is a very nice, versatile salad. I wasn't sure about the dressing. But I added sour cream and a pinch of curry - just a very small pinch and it was quite tasty and not too sweet. Thank you! M~

Autumn Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2008
WOW! I took this to a chili cook off, and it didn't last 5 minutes. As others recommend, most definitely double the recipe! I found slicing the apples paper thin made it completely unnecessary to cook the apples beforehand. I used a combination of honey crisp and regent apples. I topped it off with a moderate drizzle of homemade caramel sauce! Out of this world! thanks for sharing!

Habanero Hellfire Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2008
I made this for a cook off (I'll let you know how that goes). But I imagine a lot of people will submit chili so hot it'll make your throat bleed, so I toned this down to make a little more family friendly. I love the way the flavors marry. Nothing in particular stands out, its still got quite a bit of kick, but you can really enjoy eating it too. I love the bacon, chili paste(never thought of that!) I also used Serrano peppers, fresh tomatoes instead of canned, beef stock instead of bouillon and omitted the water...Very good recipe! wish me luck... ...I won 2nd place! thanks for sharing your recipe!

Wow! My family just loved this! It was really fantastic. I didn't make any changes to the recipe, and the steaks were succulent, super flavorful and tender! Yummy! Thanks for sharing this recipe! We enjoyed it very much and will make it often
