Thai Coconut Chicken

A tasty meal! I had to spice it up a lot (tripled the curry powder, added some cayenne and fish sauce) but the end result was well-liked by my family.

Irish Lamb Stew

Very good! I used the recommended Guinness (plain, not extra stout) and it turned out great. My family wasn't as keen on the lamb flavor , so next time I'll try it with beef.

Irish Chicken and Dumplings

Very good! I put the potatoes and carrots in after an hour of cooking so they would have an hour to cook, which they really needed (a half hour isn't enough if you want to get really soft potatoes.) I also replaced the celery with broccoli because my family doesn't like celery, though I think it overpowered the chicken flavor. My family really liked it!

Easy Shepherd's Pie with Garlic Romano Potatoes

Very tasty! I added more garlic and used a light Celtic cheddar, and it turned out great! My family thought it could have used slightly more potatoes, so I might add a potato or two next time to balance the meat and potatoes a little better.

Great saag! I did have to cook it a lot longer than the recipe said, as it ended up having more liquid than my family is used to. After cooking it down, however, it was very tasty!

Vegetable Masala

Very good! I agree with the other reviewers that the vegetables needed more cooking. I skipped straight to step 3 and they took quite awhile to cook. I served it with a tomato curry dish, so it didn't need more liquid for sauce.

Chutney Chicken

Very good chicken! I cooked the chicken in a larger pan with a variety of veggies and my family loved it! We think this recipe would be great for just cooking vegetables as a vegetarian dish. I'll probably add more chutney next time - I didn't have quite enough (about 7-8 ounces) and it spread very thinly.

Indian Chicken Curry II

Great curry! I made it with gobi aloo (a potato and cauliflower dish,) but next time I'll serve it on rice to soak up the plentiful sauce. Highly recommended!

Very tasty! I used a lot of the suggestions other reviewers made, such as doubling the curry powder and eggs for the custard top. I left out the salt and sugar and used multigrain bread to make it slightly healthier, and used lamb for a more traditional foundation. I served it with the recommended yellow rice (turmeric, cinnamon and raisins,) which was also very good. It wasn't very filling (I had two slices and 1/4 cup of rice,) so it definitely needs side dishes to round out the meal.

Jollof Rice

Very good dish! It ended up being a sort of thick stew, which was great on a cold, rainy day. I doubled the rice (the listed amount was really not enough) and used red rice for a slightly healthier meal. Definitely a keeper!
