Cauliflower and Tofu Masala

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2010
Very good! It's surprisingly spicy, considering how little hot stuff is in it, but that's just the way I like it!

Yogurt Shrimp Fettuccine, Revised and Resized

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2010
Very good! I made it vegetarian for a family member, but otherwise left it unchanged.

Peanut Butter Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2010
Very good! I modified this heavily, but it served as a very useful and tasty base to work from.

Fig Smoothie

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
Fabulous! I used some very ripe bananas, unsweetened soy milk and high pulp orange juice, and it came out wonderfully thick and had just the right level of sweetness.

Thai-Style Peanut Sauce with Honey

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
Very tasty! I added some cauliflower and onion for vegetables, and mixed it with some spicy sesame linguine. I would recommend using a mild honey, since I used a dark melter honey in the sauce ended up tasting more like honey than peanut butter despite having 1/2 cup of peanut butter.

Pool Party Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
Excellent salad! For a little more kick, I added a teaspoon of Italian spaghetti spice mix and a few cloves of garlic. It was very well received by my family!

Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2010
Quite good! I baked this with some veggies and they soaked up the flavor. I didn't have enough regular honey, so I mixed in some raspberry whipped honey. It turned out great, and other honey flavors would be fun to try!

Coconut Curry Fish

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
Very good! I didn't find that it needed the cornstarch, and I used fresh veggies instead of frozen, but it turned out great nonetheless.

Chicken Curry V

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
My family thinks this was the best curry we've had yet! I didn't have all the whole spices, so I substituted ground spices in many cases, and I had no tamarind. I also used a whole can of light coconut milk and served over red rice.

Cajun Red Snapper

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
Very good, though it didn't have all the flavor I was expecting. I cooked the fish with onions, garlic and cauliflower and served over pasta. My family really liked it, but I would probably up the spices if I served it this way again.

Butternut Squash Soup with Spinach Ravioli

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2009
Quite good! I lowered the liquids to make the squash and ravioli the centerpiece, and it ended up being closer to a stew than a soup.

Spicy Banana Curry

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
Very good! I replaced the yogurt with coconut milk, used tomato sauce instead of chopped tomatoes, added broccoli and shrimp, and halved most of the spices (1/2 cup of curry powder plus 4 teaspoon of turmeric would have been way too much.) It ended up being a great, creamy sauce that went wonderfully on red rice. I also took the advice of another review and halved the whole recipe (2 servings instead of 4,) which was spot on.

Spicy Red Snapper

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2009
Very good! The fish didn't absorb the flavors of the dish as much as I would have liked, but overall it was still a very tasty meal.

Easy Chicken and Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
I modified this some (extra yogurt instead of cream of chicken, tuna instead of broccoli) and it turned out great. A versatile recipe!
