My favorite things to cook
I love cooking just about anything, but I'm a picky eater. It really limits me, and I hate it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We always use my grandmother's "recipe" for dressing during holidays (add the broth until it looks right, cook in hot oven until done kind of recipe) and have been making Russian Teacakes at Christmas for as long as I can remember.

One Dish Rosemary Chicken and Rice Dinner
I followed all of the directions except I used chicken breast tenderloins. The chicken was good, but the rice ended up being too salty, although I did not add any salt to it. I might try it again, but I'd use low-sodium chicken broth instead. At least it was easy.

Pork Chops with Basil and Marsala
The only change I made was to bake the chops for only 30 minutes (instead of 45) before adding the wine, and they were fully cooked. I only used 2 pork chops since it's just my husband and me, but we both enjoyed them. They were juicy and tender, and overall very easy, if a little time-consuming.

Slow Cooker Lentil and Ham Soup
It was a little heavy on the spices for me. I didn't have 11 hours, but I stuck it on high for about 5 hours and the consistency was perfect. More like stew, really. The lentils were mushy, but I've never used them before. Hubs likes it okay. It's not a favorite of ours, but I'll probably try it again with some tweaking.
