My Husband and I recently got married and moved to Europe 2 days after the wedding. Now, we are constantly looking for ways to incorporate the new dishes that are native here with the dishes we grew up eating in Canada. It's an adventure and sometimes very challenging but that makes the results that much more satisfying when they turn out.
My favorite things to cook
The favorites are constantly changing and evolving as I try out more variety of dishes and desserts. However, Banana Bread, Chocolate Chip Cookies and Pumpkin Pie will always be on the favorite dessert list. And there will always be a stirfry dish on the favorite dinner list.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Nothing will ever compare to making traditional Thanksgiving Dinner or Christmas Dinner with the greatest of company. I'm excited to start that tradition with my Husband this year.

Ezekiel Bread I
I was excited to make this bread and followed the recipe exactly. Not sure what went wrong, but after over an hour in the oven, it still wasn't cooked through. When the top began to burn I finally took the loaves out and switched them to racks to cool. Both loaves were nearly uncooked in entirety and collapsed upon removal from the pans.

Easy Pie Crust
So simple! We have used this for pumpkin pie (using only half the salt) and for Quiche. We liked it so much that it has become the crust we use every time that we make Pumpkin Pie. However, I would not recommend using it for a fruit filling, it seems to work best with fillings that set.

Spelt Biscuits
I am definitely adding this one to my permanent recipe collection. Made the recipe as is, no changes, and it worked out great. I made extra and we used them the following morning for fried egg sandwiches.
