This was a yummy autumn soup but i did a couple different things that i think made it even yummier! There is another recipe on here that puts light coconut milk in it... so i added part of a can to the puree and part to my (non canned) steamed pumpkin mash and it made it so creamy and goes so well with the pumpkin. Then when i was cooking the onions etc... i added a little Rum (with honey) and let it sautee for a while. A little extra cumin and a little cayenne pepper made the flavor pop a bit more and My picky Spanish father-in-law was scraping his plate. We didn't even tell him what was in it for fear he wouldn't even touch it... ;) As a compliment i made the sour cream and chive rolls that i found on here and we had a great Sunday afternoon meal. Loved it... will make it again- so easy btw!
