Classic Goulash

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
I haven't had goulash in years, and I don't remember it ever being this good. I added a green bell pepper and used spaghetti sauce (because it was open) instead of plain tomato sauce - but other than that stuck to the recipe. Great flavor - my husband and I couldn't stop eating it and are looking forward to the leftovers! Thanks so much for posting - this is going in with the "keepers"!

Spicy Chicken Rice Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
Loved this- quick, easy and very flavorful. Did put in more red pepper just because we like things spicy here. Couldn't resist adding some corn, only because I'd put corn in most anything! Husband loved it so it's a winner! Will be making again and again. Thanks for sharing!

Turkey and Quinoa Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
I would give more stars than 5 if I could. Absolutely delicious - made exactly as recipe stated - it does have a kick but we love spicy here. Moist and flavorful - best meatloaf I've ever had. Will definitley be making this a lot this winter! Thanks for sharing!

Great recipe! Used a whole box of rotini and worked perfect. Very creamy and love the spice. A little crispy bacon on the top and WOW. Thanks for sharing!

Golden Chicken and Autumn Vegetables

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
We really enjoyed this. Used regular potatoes since my husband won't touch sweet potatoes. I put s&p on the chicken before browning but that was my only adjustment. I liked this recipe as it is, but it's also a good base recipe to experiment with. I'll be using this often - a quick and tasty way to get a good dinner on the table during the week! Thanks for sharing!

Delicious. Didn't alter a thing except I used 1/2 tsp curry because I like it. The flavors are great and if you have a had blender, it's super easy. This is simply fantastic - thanks for sharing!

Refrigerator Pickles

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2010
Love this recipe - I did cut the sugar in half (bascially because I didn't have enough) but thought the flavor was great - perfect amount of sweetness for me. Great way to use up a ton of cukes I got out of my garden - only wish I'd found it sooner! Thanks!

Slow Cooker Fruit, Nuts, and Spice Oatmeal

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
The ingredients sounded great, but mine ended up very heavy and gummy. I think you need to almost double the liquid that the recipe calls for. I cooked on low for only 4 hours and still have a cooked-on mess to clean out of the crockpot - I think 8 hours would have been a disaster. Flavor was okay - added some brown sugar and more cinnamon after it was done. The extra liquid might help, but I am not in a hurry to make it again.

Connie's Zucchini "Crab" Cakes

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
Loved these! Took other reviewers' advice and squeezed as much water out of the zucchini as I could and added an extra 1/4 cup of bread crumbs to help them stay together. My husband and I loved them. Great with wasabi dipping sauce.

Ian's Potato-Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
What great comfort food. I used 4 small potatoes and took others' advice and added the rosemary as well as a little garlic powder but kept the rest the same. I used fat free cream of celery with great results. Great for the winter!
