Shortbread Cookies II

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2010
It's a fool proof recipe! DELICIOUS. I usually make them on the puffed up side with a dallop of strawberry preserves. If you want plump them up like I do I'd recommend whipping the sugar and butter up with a mixer rather than just creaming it up. It took 20-25 minutes for my puffy cookies to bake. 5 stars using ALMOND extract. 4-stars for vanilla extract.

Mandarin Orange Cake I

Reviewed: May 12, 2010
I've made this cake numerous times and the best responses I received from guests was when I: -added one less egg -used 1 cup of apple sauce instead of oil -used 1/3 less fat whip cream. Try it and you'll love it even more!

Lobster Pasta

Oh! This is an AMAZING recipe! It's the cinnamon that really makes it--so if you're not a big fan of the hint of flavor, you simply won't like it. This is one of the dishes I make to impress guests with experienced pallets. A BIG hit.

Red Potato Bites

Reviewed: May 11, 2010
As suggested below, use a melon baller to scoop it out while raw and then boil it. Worked BEAUTIFULLY! Very easy too. I only gave it 4 stars because I used a lot more seasoning, bacon, and cheese than it called for--but the ingredients that it calls for are perfect. I will only give 5s to the recipes that don't need as much tweaking 2 suggestions: use a bit of milk to make it creamy and use 1/3 fat sour cream (didn't alter the flavor at all)
