Just Me
About this Cook
I have been cooking and baking since I was a kid. I enjoy all aspects of cooking and love to cook for people. I also enjoy riding my Harley, Camping and Fishing with the kids. I am a vegetarian, but cook for a non-vegetarian family and friends.
My favorite things to cook
Everything. I guess if I have to pick a favorite, Baked goods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Southern/Italian
My cooking triumphs
Bread baking/ pastries
My cooking tragedies
It took me a little while to make bread really good. Also, its the dumbest thing, but it took me a while to make good hashbrowns from scratch.

German Rouladen
This was a very good recipe...I changed it a little. First I didnt use pickle because my family would have had a coronary if i tried to feed them a pickle....though i have made it that way before for myself and liked the pickle in there. I added crushed garlic to the onion and bacon...and rolled the rolls in flour mixed with salt and pepper before browning. Also I sauteed onion and garlic and added some rosemary and a bay leaf just before adding the water and the bullion....i used better than bullion as well. At the end before serving I made a pan gravy and replacd the rolls into the gravy and served with mashed potatoes and corn....made a good hearty and easy meal.

Marshmallow Treats
Double the recipe and after putting it in the pan quickly while the mixture is still hot but spread across the 9x13 pan sprinke with about 2 cups of mini m & ms. Or sprinkle with a combination of milk chocolate morsels and white chocolate morsels. Press them firmly into the rice crispy mixture and let cool....cheap, easy, and very yummie...kids love it.

Awesome Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting
This is a tasty recipe, but it uses way to much oil. Cut the oil in half and add some buttermilk or yogurt to replace the moisture loss. Good otherwise.
