Sour Cream Cut-Out Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2008
Easy to make, and once fridged over night they rolled out nicely. However, they did still taste more like biscuits than sugar cookies as one other commented.

Pineapple Filling

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
I'm not a huge fan of pineapple filling myself, but I do use this recipe for my clients who want pineapple filling for wedding, birthday, and special occasion cakes.

Pumpkin Crunch Parfaits

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
Yummy little treat. I put it in crystal champagne glasses, which made it stretch a little to feed 10 without altering the recipe made for 6.

Deep Dish Potato and Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
I give 4 stars, only because I did alter it a bit. I added pork sausage to it, and everyone LOVED it.

Neiman Marcus Cake I

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
I expected a little more flavor, but was overall very happy with them. My friends and I had a brownie bake off, and mine ended up being my favorite. I think I'll try using different flavored cake mixes for variations.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
Perfect Alfredo sauce. I'm not sure how much milk I ended up using. We like it pretty thick, so instead of measuring it out, I just put a little in at a time till it got to where we wanted it. We used it for a Sea Food Alfredo, so added shrimp, scallops & Salmon. We ended up going a little heavy on the garlic, due to a miniature helper in the kitchen grabbing the bottle and pouring it in, but still tasted great!

Pecan-Crusted Pork with Pumpkin Butter

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
By itself the pork chops are still very bland. However, with the Pumpkin butter they are wonderful. I will use this recipe again. I did add a teaspoon of nutmeg to the pumpkin butter on accident (my daughter was talking to me and I thought I had the cinnamon, still added the cinnamon too though). I was out of cloves, so didn't add those. I really enjoyed the nutmeg in it though. Everything else I did as the directions stated.

Easy Cheesy Chicken I

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
Super easy, and tastes great. Did a side of cheesy noodles and brocolli with it, but think next time I'll do egg noodles with it, as it reminds me of Chicken Ala King. I am reserving the sauce/gravy to use for boiled red potatoes tomorrow.

Peach Pie

Reviewed: May 22, 2011
My 4yo daughter made this pie, all I got to do was cut the peaches and measure the dry ingredients for her, and help with the latice top. She litterally did EVERYTHING else. And, it tasted WONDERFUL. Only thing I would do different that we didn't do this time is an egg wash on the top so it's shiny. Other than that, perfect. If a 4yo can do it, so can you :)

Chicken a la King II

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2011
Was OK. Chicken A La King sauce is supposed to be fairly thick, but this seemed to lack flavor. If I do it again I would maybe add some garlic. Maybe do cream of mushroom with a little more milk instead of the broth & milk.

Balsamic Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2011
Good, not wonderful (but I like a LOT of flavor, maybe add kosher salt next time like one of the other reviewers). Really easy though. Will repeat with and try some variations.

Orange Juice Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
Good recipe, but I cut out the oil all together, used 1 3/4 cup orange juice, and added orange extract & some orange color. Didn't add the sugar. Oh, and baked for about an hour.

Key Lime Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2012
Didn't do 5 stars, because I have had to work to perfect it. So, here are my changes. Instead of Orange Juice, I do 3/4c LimeAid + 1/4c Key Lime Juice. I only do 3/4c oil. For the lime Jello, I used the sugar free variety (there is already enough sugar in the cake & icing, so you wont miss it). Prior to making these changes, it kept falling on me (I think mostly because of the added oil), and it had an odd texture. An OK one, but odd. And, it was a little too sweet for me, which is saying something, because I like my sweets :)
