Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2009
This recipe is so good, that from now on, this is my go to slaw. I served this every time we have bbq and everyone loves it. The only changed I made was use 1/2 cup sugar because it was too sweet for my taste if I use the measurement on the recipe.

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
I made this for dinner tonight and it was a big hit for everyone. I can't believe how easy it is to make and yet so delicious. I was glad that I read the reviews before cooking it because sauteing the butter, garlic, parsley, and lemon juice before pouring it to the fish made such a difference. I also added lemon rind to my butter mixture because I really like a lemony butter sauce. I love the sauce so much that I used the same pan to cook my peas. It gave my peas so much flavor and it brought the dish together. Perfect dinner for us.

Greek Chicken

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
This recipe is so yummy. I didn't change a single thing on this recipe and it came out perfect. Hubby loves it so much. I followed one reviewers suggestion to pair it with orzo greek salad - what a combination. Our taste buds were dancing with joy. Thank you for a wonderful recipe.

Jalapeno Chicken II

Reviewed: May 23, 2009
This recipe is good. We made it for dinner tonight. We baked ours for 350 F for 30 minutes, then ncreased the temperature to 400 F and baked it for another 10 minutes, just to make the bacon crispier. Next time, we make this recipe, i'll make sure that my chicken is marinated at least 24-hours, put more cream cheese, and choose a thinner sliced bacon. I think i'll also follow one reviewers suggestion to put it in skewers.

Spinach and Goat Cheese Salad with Beetroot Vinaigrette

Reviewed: May 20, 2009
All the ingredients in this recipe compliments each other very well. We were very impressed with it. Didn't change a thing except using a pre-sugared walnut - I already have this on hand, and i also have a can of beets so i just added some with the spinach. Other than that no change made. It is perfect the way it is. Yum!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
I make this recipe especially if it's I have tons of apples on hand. The only change I made with this recipe is instead of adding 1/2 cup water I only added 1/4 cup water and 1/4 cup maple syrup, and another 1/2 cup of oats. I love oats and it's good for you. I think the maple syrup helps to thickened the sauce.

Chile Garlic BBQ Salmon

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
We love this recipe and this is one of the easiest salmon recipe anyone can make. I made it twice already. The first time, I followed the recipe as it was written. We were very impressed. Though after reading most of the reviews, many reviewers were wondering if the fish can be marinated more than 30 minutes. I, personally do not agree marinating more that 30 minutes. I want to taste my fish, and have the marinade compliment the fish, not the other way around. So the second time I made this recipe, I decided to make my marinade a day early. I combined ALL the ingredient (except for the fish) in a container, added a small drop of sesame oil, and about 15 cilantro leaves. The next day, I poured the marinade on the fish, marinate it for 30 minutes and baked it. Sprinkled it fresh scallions and cilantro. The dish is so delicious. All the ingredients complimented each other. Although, when i serve this dish to a group of people, I think I will strain the marinade before pouring it to the fish. The presentation will be better if my guest do not see the chucks of garlic, ginger and wilted scallions and cilantro. Can't wait to make this again. YUM!

Smoked Salmon Pizette

Reviewed: May 10, 2009
I used this recipe different to what it was intended for. Instead of combining it all as a dish, I layered the recipe between whole wheat bagels. I still combined the cream cheese and sour cream, spread it on bagel and put in a toaster oven. Once the bagels were toasted I layered the rest of the recipe on top of the mixture. It kinda came-out like a lox bagel with a twist. We serve it for brunch and everyone was blown away with it. They kept guessing what's in it that made the difference - they couldn't tell. Thank you for sharing your recipe with us.

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 10, 2009
This recipe is a must try. It's so delicious and very simple to make. I followed the recipe and the suggestions of other reviewers to marinate the chops in two parts apple juice to one part soy sauce. The weather was nice outside so hubby decide to grill the chops instead of using the oven or stove top. I added garlic powder just before putting the chops on the grill. I decided to make the apples on the side instead of cooking it with the chops and serve it with garlic fried rice (fry rice in garlic and evoo). Everything came out so delicious . Most importantly, everyone in my family enjoyed it.

Chicken Honey Nut Stir Fry

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
I love this dish. The sauce and the veggies are perfect together. I didn't have the celery, scallions and cashews but I have all these other veggies in my fridge that I need to cook before they go bad. So I just gathered all the veggies i could find, cut them into small pieces, and basically followed the recipe. Everyone in my family enjoyed this dish, even my picky 2 yr old. This will be my go to veggie dish from now on.

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
This recipe is so simple yet so tasty. I made it with my daughter this morning and she basically did the prep and I did the cooking. I followed others suggestion by adding more cinnamon, a pinch of nutmeg, and dressing it up with powdered sugar, fresh berries and home made whipped cream. Pair it with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and its the perfect breakfast especially if you have 9-inches of snow outside.

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
This recipe is good. I added whole peppercorns and a bay leaf. I served it with plain white rice with fresh tomatoes (add a pinch of S&P) on the side. I still prefer cooking adobo on the stove top. But will definetly make this again especially if I want a hot dinner waiting for me when I get home.
