Missy's Candied Walnut Gorgonzola Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
This salad is great. I prefer a sweeter and crunchier nut topping, so I add 2Tbs of honey to the nuts and sugar mixture, after the sugar melted. I also tried goat cheese if I don't have Gorgonzola.

This recipe is so delicious and easy to make. My husband who doesn't like pineapple ans sweet dishes loved this one. I served it with plain white rice.

Brunch Strata

Reviewed: May 11, 2010
Served this dish to the in-laws on mother's day and everyone raved about it even my picky hubby. I omitted the ham just because I know breakfast meat will be served. It still came out so delicious, we hardly miss the meat. This is my go to recipe for now on every time I have to go to a pot luck or brunch.

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
This is definitely a 5-star recipe if you follow the suggestion of other reviews to add shredded carrots and the spicy sauce (1 tsp sesame oil, 2 Tbl soy sauce, 2 Tbl rice vinegar and 1 T chili paste). These additions completes the dish.

Frosted Cake Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
This is my go to brownie recipe. I love that the brownie is not cakey but still very moist. I followed the viewers advise and used the Rich Chocolate Frosting recipe in this site.

Linguine Pasta with Shrimp and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
We love this recipe!!! I followed this recipe exactly how it was written and it is really good. I'm giving it 4 ½ stars only because my sauce didn't thicken up. Next time, I will follow the suggestion to add a splash of cream or cornstarch to thicken the sauce. Also, using a good white wine is a must. Use white wine you can drink. The wine can make or break the recipe. I used a good bottle of Chardonnay, which we drank while eating the pasta. Also, add fresh basil at the end. The basil added a depth of flavor to the dish. Can’t wait to cook this dish again. Next time, I will add diced mushrooms and zucchini and will use different pasta, maybe a fusilli or gemelli, or any ridged pasta so it can hold the sauce. YUM!

Beef Pho

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
I followed this recipe to the T, and I think this recipe is just average. I honestly will not try to cook this again because its too much work for a noodle soup. Pho is very inexpensive where I live, so I think i will just continue to patronize our favorite pho place.

Pork and Shrimp Pancit

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
I decided to make this dish without the shrimp and pork because hubby and I are trying to be vegetarians, and I have seen this dish made without any meat, so I cooked it like that. The recipe so good that you don't even miss the meat at all. I also have rice and egg noodles so i combined both noodles. Serve it with lemon on the side. Yum!

I followed the recipe to a T, except, i had to brine mine. I just think it makes the turkey juicier if its been brined before cooking. My turkey cme-out really great.

Quick and Easy Pancit

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2010
This recipe is good, but it taste like its missing something. Also, the noodles were a little bit hard so I added a little bit of chicken stock after I combined the noodles with the rest of the ingredients, and cooked it just a little a few minutes longer.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
VERY VERY VERY GOOD RECIPE. Everyone should try baking this. It can either be a muffin or a bread. Also, the way its written is perfect. No need to change the recipe. Sometimes I add 1 tsp. vanilla and 1/2 tsp ground gloves and I can't tell the difference. But in our house its mandatory to add 1 cup chocolate chips. For the holidays, I added 1/2 cup of cranberries with the chocolate chips, and result was so yummylicious. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe to all of us.
