Irish Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2014
My whole family loved it. It was very filling!! The dumplings did end up spreading out so that the top looked like crust but it was almost like eating a pot pie!!

Caramelized French Toast

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2012
I found the best way to make the carmel sauce was after cooking all the french toast, add another tbsp of butter to pan then add the brown sugar stirring constantly. When it starts to melt ( in about a minute over medium heat, no higher) SLOWLY add the boiling water to the pan a little bit at a time. You can even try to add small amt of extra butter to thicken it a little. i ended up not using all of the water and just added what I needed to get it to the consistency I wanted. When all of the sugar is melted, you can gently boil it for another minute. The key is to keep the flame no higher than medium and stir constantly.

Easy to prepare and the meat was very tender. I was a little skeptical about the pan frying cooking method, but was pleasantly surprised

I have never made a carrot cake before and wasn't sure how it would turn out. It came out great and was simpler than I thought. My family loved it. The frosting was great too. Would definitely make this again.

Pan-Fried Asparagus

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2010
Agree with a lot of reviewers. Way too much butter and oil. I like my veggies crisp and this just came out way too soggy. Flavor wasn't bad, just too much grease.

Make this often. My husband and I really love it. Like to serve it with whole grain tortilla chips to give it a little extra crunch.

Pork Tenderloin with Creamy Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2010
This was a very simple recipe to make. My kids loved it. I only had skim milk in the house but added 1/2 tsp extra of flour and still got a creamy sauce.

Broiled Short Ribs

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2010
My family really loves this recipe. I boil the ribs in one can of beer and enough water to cover them for about 20min (so that they are not completely cooked through, I fine that is more than enough for boneless ribs) and then I broil them as directed. They come out juicy and tender.

Chocolate Truffle Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
My family went nuts over these cookies. They were dekicious. I did have to cook them a few minutes longer than the recipe stated or else they wouldn't have set. I'm sorry I gave up chocolate for Lent. Now I'll have to wait 'til Easter to make them again.

Garlic Chicken with Orzo Noodles

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
It was very light and good. I recommend seasoning the chicken with seasoned salt before cooking to add a little more flavor. I also added a tablespoon at a time of chicken broth to orzo and chicken mixture when heating to keep it from getting too dry. Also use shredded parmesan

Crispy Chicken Strips

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
My family really loved this. It was better using the panko bread crumbs as that made it crunchier. I would suggest maybe a little seasoned salt to give it a little more flavor. Would make it again
