Reuben Hot Dish

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2012
I brought this to a Hot Dish contest and won 1st Prize!! I followed other reviewer's advice and used 16 oz corned beef, 3 cups of Swiss, boiled the noodles for 4 minutes, and 3/4 a loaf of rye bread...and kept it cubed.

Mad Hatter Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
Everyone LOVES this salad. It's my go-to recipe for get togethers. It makes a lot and is really best the first day (although I always eat the leftovers, too).

Cabbage Beef Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2010
Really good and very easy...I might spice it up a bit more next time and I think adding diced tomatoes would be nice.

Slow-Cooked Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
This is an amazing chowder. So easy and very impressive. My slow cooker cooks hot so it was ready in 3 hours (cooking on low). My friend even asked for the recipe after trying it.

Morning Glory Muffins I

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
I ended up using 1/2 regular flour and 1/2 rye flour (really just because I ran out of regular white flour). They turned out great, and I got at least 24 muffins, rather than the 18 stated in the recipe.

Healthy Banana Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2010
These are surprisingly delicious. I actually made two batches this week. The first batch I made exactly as the recipe states, the second batch I substituted applesauce for the oil...both batches were fantastic. I don't see how you could possibly get 36 cookies out of one batch, I think I got maybe 18-24, max.

Goat Cheese and Spinach Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
This is SO easy and really, really delicious!. The only change that I made to the recipe was that I used tomato basil flavored goats cheese, and I doubled the amount of cheese. My young children even liked these! I thought they were BY FAR the best turkey burgers I have ever eaten. I will be making these burgers againa and again.
