Easy Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2013
I thought it would be a bit bland so I added a bit of seasoning, such as oregano and parsley, and a bit of garlic. It liked the combination of the flavours, but found it was too salty with all the bacon. I chopped up a potato and threw it in to soak up some of the salt - hopefully that helps! I would probably cook it with a potato or two next time.

Morning Glory Muffins I

sooo good! eating one right now. Followed the recipe except for the apple butter (used 1 c. applesauce). Next time I will halve the oil and use more whole wheat flour vs white flour. They are so moist!

Renee's Strawberry Rhubarb Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2012
This pie is the best dessert I be ever made! I also added a package of strawberry jello and mixed it in, while c tutting back in the sugar a bit. It helps make it more less runny but keeps some natural flavor. So yummy!

Creamy Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2012
So yummy! I followed the recipe almost exactly and it turned out amazing. The only thing I did different was 3/4 c white sugar and 1/2 c b sugar. I also added in some chocolate chips into the batter and in the middle section. So moist and fluffy!

Slow Cooker Venison Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2012
Ok I'm not sure how this turns out with venison. My fiancé used regular beef sirloin tip roast, and he followed the rest of the recipe exactly. While it was "stewing" it smelled awesome... After a couple hours it smelled less awesome... And by the time we went to eat it, the roast smelled identical to grandpa's feet. I'm not talking regular smelly grandpa feet, I'm talking downright bad! I'm sitting here with all the windows open and trying to get the taste out of my mouth by licking steel wool. It got one star because the beef did turn out somewhat tender and if you scraped the sauce off, you could almost eat it.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2012
Really amazing and worth the effort. I doubled the recipe and froze one for later (good thing too, because my boyfriend actually ate nearly all of the first one!). The only thing I found is that there was not enough meat in the meat sauce.. Next time I'd add more ground beef. Thanks so much for the recipe!
