Easy Sugar Cookies

Wonderful, simple sugar cookie recipe! I'm a little picky about my baking recipes, and my husband is very picky, and we both loved them.

This is a WONDERFUL basic chocolate cake recipe. Just made it for the first time, followed the directions, and the cake was moist, flavorful and delicious. I made a 9x13 and then cut it in half and made a layer cake. Can anyone recommend a good frosting recipe to go with this?

Crustless Spinach Quiche

This is one of my favorite recipes when we have weekend guests. I use whatever cheese we have on hand, and substitute fresh spinach for frozen in the summer. It's always great, and guests always rave.

Mrs. Sigg's Fresh Pumpkin Pie

I made this pie and sent it with my husband for his friend's birthday. The pie plate came back scraped clean, and he said everyone loved it. I tried a piece from the second pie, and I agreed it was wonderful. You have to have the time, but it's not complicated.

Pumpkin Bars I

I made these following the recipe exactly. Although I'm not a fan of this recipe, I'm still giving it four stars, because I should have known I wouldn't like it from the amount of oil. If you prefer desserts with this much oil and sugar, it's a fine recipe. I just prefer something with more pumpkin flavor and less oil.

Best Ever Pie Crust

This is a good, basic pie crust recipe. I first used it ten years ago when I first started making pie, thinking that I would switch to another, more complicated recipe once I got the basics down. I've since worked for a short time as a baker and tried more complicated pastry recipes, but for home-baking, this is my go-to pie crust recipe. Make sure your shortening is not too warm, and your water is cold, and you should be good to go.

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II
