German Chocolate Cake Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
This turned out great! I have my own recipe for it, but it's much easier to go to allrecipes.com to find it. I did add some cornstarch to help thicken it.

Molasses Sugar Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
Great recipe! I used red and green sugar, and colored sprinkles on some to make them festive looking. Big hit with the family. I liked that they didn't have to be rolled out.

Cranberry Nut Bars

I love these bars! They are great with glaze or cream cheese frosting. I have the recipe somewhere, but it's always easier to find it on All Recipes. Thanks!!

Mom's Coleslaw

Reviewed: May 29, 2011
Very good! I did make a couple of changes. I used reduced fat mayo with olive oil, and a little less sugar. I took the advice of another reviewer and just put the right amount of dressing on, since we do not like it "drippping." I would make it again.

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2013
This was very delicious! I didn't have carrots, so substituted zucchini. Also did not have much half and half, so only used 1/2 cup and added some milk--not as much as stated, because we like our clam chowder thick. We used Old Bay Seasoning, and it turned out great! Did not use bacon, so this is a lower-fat version!

Reuben Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2012
Great recipe! I love soup, even in the summer. I didn't want to open a can of sauerkraut and had some coleslaw mix to use up, so sauteed that with the onion and celery. I used chicken broth instead of beef and seasoned croutons on top. It turned out great!

Cranberry Salad IV

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
This was very yummy and easy to make. I chopped the cranberries in my small food chopper--I think that was the part that was holding me back, but it turned out great!

White Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
Very good and easy to make. I microwaved my white chocolate, starting with 1 minute, stir, then 15 seconds until melted. I put them in the freezer for a few moments when finished. Turned out great!

Danish Puff

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
This is a great recipe! I needed some "color" on my Christmas cookie tray, so sprinkled the frosting of one with red sugar and the other with green. I only put almonds on one, for those who do not like nuts.

Great Pumpkin Dessert

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
Great recipe! I was out of evaporated milk, so used sweetened condensed, eliminated the 1 cup of sugar, and cut down to 2 eggs. It turned out great!

Scalloped Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2014
I was looking for a recipe that did NOT use cream-style corn, and this was it. I'm not a big fan of green peppers, so I used pimiento instead. I also used Italian bread crumbs. When I sauteed the onion and pimiento, I added about 2 teaspoons of water before putting the evaporated milk and flour in. It turned out great!

Gingerbread Torte

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2012
Great torte! I am making it into a birthday cake, and it is working well. I would recommend this recipe. Gingerbread and lemon are great combinations.
