Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
Simply amazing. The only change I made was using a combination of 3 T. butter and 3 T. olive oil. This may be my new favorite dish. Thank you for this recipe!

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
Follow the recipe and you won't be disappointed. I love this recipe because there are not many desserts that go with Mexican food. This is perfect for taco night. It would be nice if the directions included "chill" instead of "cool". It really needs to be refrigerated. We tasted it when it had cooled at room temperate, and it was difficult to cut and soft. After refrigerating, it was easy to serve and just right. Will be making this again. Delicious!

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
Delicious! Followed the exact recipe. I took the cream cheese out of the fridge a couple hours before I made this to let it soften and it blended very well. I followed suggestions of another user and blended the ingredients (prior to adding whipped topping) for a few minutes to make it fluffy and thick. I enjoyed this even more the next day. The wafers got soft and it reminded me of a banana moon pie. I brought this for a famiy gathering and everyone rangning in age from 1 to 68 loved it.

Country Apple Dumplings

Pleasantly surprised! I cannot stand to drink Mountain Dew, but this recipe is absolutely amazing! Needless to say I was very skeptical, but with the high rating, I just had to give it a try. I didn't alter the recipe and it was wonderful. Served them right out of the oven with vanilla ice cream. Mmm.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2010
These cookies are amazing and true to the description. Be prepared for BIG cookies. You use a 1/4 c. measuring cup to scoop the cookie dough. They spread out a lot during baking but don't get thin. They were as big around as my small saucepan when they were finished. Very filling! I will be making this again.

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
It's all that! I used a different cream cheese frosting recipe, but I'm sure this one is great too. I made two 8" rounds and layered them for a birthday cake. Delicious!

Garden Pasta Salad

Yummy! You really only need 1 bottle of Italian dressing. I add sliced olives and pepperoni for something extra. Also, I use red onion for the 1/4 cup chopped onion. My family loves this one, even my 2 year old.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2010
One of my favorite things about this recipe is that it's great as leftovers. Cream and butter based alfredo sauces turn to an oily mess when re-heated. This stays smooth and creamy. A family favorite!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2010
This is great! I have had pancakes from a box mix my entire life. I never knew making them from scratch could be so easy. I usually have all the ingredients in the kitchen so this is a great last minute breakfast...or dinner! My only alteration is to add a dash of vanilla. Yum!

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2010
Amazing! I don't alter the ingredients and it turns out just right. I do skip the part where you bake the potatoes. I just peel, dice into large chunks and boil. This is really easy!

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
I like to try new recipes on this site based on their rating. I figured with the high rating this recipe had I couldn't go wrong...I was WRONG. I followed this recipe EXACTLY the way it is with no changes. I am so disappointed. This was dry, sticky, flavorless macaroni and cheese. My husband who will eat anything had a hard time with this one. I thought the bread crumbs and butter baked on top would be crispy, but it was dry and crumbly and made it harder to eat. Sorry, this isn't all it's cracked up to be. I prefer boxed mac n cheese to this.
