Dinner in a Packet

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
Here's my changes to a very tasty meal. I use olive oil or melted butter with minced garlic, onion, carrots, cabbage(or any other green veg), potatoes, and chicken breast cut up into strips. Add salt and pepper. The trick is to put the potatoes on bottom of foil then add veg's and chicken and then pour the butter/garlic mixture on top. It's wonderful on the bbq or in the oven for 30 min. Thanks for sharing

Herb-Glazed Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
This is funny but I only had light Karo syrup and molasses so I used the syrup and 1 Tbsp molasses. This was the best turkey I've ever made. Definately use again either by the recipe or just like I had to. Thanks so much!!

Refrigerator Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
I did exactly what it said and they were huge not that that was bad but when I put them in oven they flattened out and all joined together. I'm sure something was wrong, maybe the yeast. I will try this one more time and make smaller rolls this time.

Apple Pie II

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
Exceptional! The changes I made were from other reviews. I did use oj instead of the apple juice only because I had oj on hand. Also, brown sugar in place of the first 1/2 c. white sugar and I had apple pie spice, so I used a tsp. of that and 1 tsp of cinnamon. Best Yet!!!! Thank You!

Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
I used Best foods olive oil dressing in place of the oil and white choc chips, only because I did not have the other two items and it turned out GREAT! It only took 50 min to bake, important to note as 80 min. would have been way too long

Slow Cooker Barbecue Beef

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2009
First time for me making for roast beef sandwiches and Everyone loved it. I added a tbsp of teriyaki sauce, and per some of the other reviews I also added more onion and garlic. Save some of the sauce to put over the beef in the sandwiches. I used the long sandwich rolls.

Chicken Zucchini Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
One problem, nothing left for leftovers. This was AWESOME! I used 9 x 13 cake pan, 2 cups zucchini and 1 cup carrots and did like other suggested by sauteeing vegs with onions in 1/2 the butter first and I also used 2 cups shredded cheese in mix. I was dissapointed when I wanted seconds and there were none. I will make 2 next time.

This just came out too mushy even after taking the other reviews into account, I will stick to the recipe on the marshmellow jar. Thanks though.

Chocolate Walnut Fudge

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
Came out too soft. I looked at some of the other reviews before making this and knew to check the amount of evap. milk but it still was too soft. I'm not sure if I did something wrong but I followed it exactly and was disappointed as it did not firm up. I will keep looking at the reviews to see if others had the same problem. Thanks for sharing

Miracle Baking Powder Pie Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
I had the hardest time rolling this out. Maybe I did something wrong in the steps but I've made crusts for years and this kept splitting at the edges as I rolled it so I only got one pie crust out of the two it calls for.

Cottage Cheese Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2012
Not very sweet but excellent with coffee. Adults raved over these. I omitted the pecans but I'm thinking maybe adding raisins the next time. You really have to mix the batter good, and you will know because it will have a very moist dark chocolate look.
