Creamed Cucumbers

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2011
This was the most excellent recipe....brought to a neighbors picnic and got RAVE reviews! My hubby loved it too! The only change I made was, I used regular milk instead of evaporated, that worked just fine, as I didn't have any evaporated on hand. My best suggestion would be to let the cucumbers sit for about an hour, and dry well then drain the water off, the dressing becomes watery if you don't but still tastes great! I also added finely chopped green pepper and half miracle whip like another user suggested, and I also used red wine vinegar, so it gave it a more mild vinegar taste.

Caramel Frosting IV

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2009
I made this recipe from a recipe book I have, the only thing different I did, was it called for 2 cups of the sugar, and to speed up cooling time,it suggested putting the pot in cold water until lukewarm. I did this and it speeds it up quite qickly, but it does taste great!

Paradise Pumpkin Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
I made this for the first time for Thanksgiving dinner, everyone RAVED over it, and my husband who loves pumpkin pie, said this was the best pumpkin pie he'd ever had! I had to go home and make another one just for him! He ate every last piece, and now said that when I bake him a pumpkin pie, it has to be this one!! I now am requested to bring this for our Christmas dinner too! Thank you for a great recipe! However, I did alter it a bit too, I used all spice instead of each individual spice, I used one tsp of the allspice, and one tsp of cinnamon, and it still came out great! Also, it takes about and hour and a half to bake I found too. So, thanks again! I will use this for many years to come I'm sure!!
