Chewy Brownie Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2014
These are Perfect!!!! I've searched for so long for a perfect brownie cookie and have failed several times. This recipe is exactly what I've been looking for! Chewy, chocolately, slightly crisp bottom. Perfect! Don't change a single thing! I used dark cocoa powder and m&ms because that's what I had on hand and they were so delicious!!

Marshmallow Fondant

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2011
I love this recipe! It is delicious and perfect for my cakes! I made it the first time and forgot the butter and I am glad I did. I have made it a couple more times without the butter and I don't think it needs butter. After letting it come to room temperature I cut off what I need from it and put the rest back in a plastic bag. I spray my rolling mat and pin with cooking spray and that helps it from not sticking. If the piece you are working with starts to get dry, just add a tiny bit of water and work it in and it's back to normal. I love love love this recipe and get lots of comments from it. Thanks for sharing. Try it without butter, it works great!

White Mountain Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
This did not turn out anywhere near as I had hoped. I cooled the cakes on a wire rack and after they cooled, I was able to hold up the cakes. They look like a giant sugar cookie. They were very dense. I cut up the cake in squares and will put some strawberries on it because the cake tastes just like a shortcake biscuit! My husband said he will take a slice and put some jam on it for breakfast tomorrow!

Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
This turned out lovely! Not sicky sweet but has a nice flavor. I wouldn't recommend using a standard hand mixer because this is very thick and my mother's mixer started to over heat haha. This frosting was very smooth and easy to pipe. Throw it in the fridge for a while and piping will be easier. Thanks!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
The topping is perfect! My family raved over this apple crisp. It's definitely a keeper. As many of the other reviewers said, do not add water. It is not necessary. I use 4-5 large apples and the 1 cup sugar and lots of cinnamon and it turns out perfect every time with no water. Thanks!

Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
I was very disappointed in these blondies. I've never made blondies before and all the reviews on this one sounded so great. I followed the recipe exactly (minus salt) but used an 8x8 pan. They took almost an hour to bake. I did like how chewy they were. They weren't sweet enough though. My husband liked them. If I do make them again, I will add regular sugar to help sweeten them up. I forgot to cover them up last night and tried a piece this morning and they were still chewy, so that's a plus!

Pastry for Double Pie-Crust

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
This is a super easy double crust pie recipe! I would recommend halving the dough and putting it in the fridge while you prepare your filling and then rolling it out. I find colder dough rolls nicer. :)

Aloha Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
This was pretty good. I added 4 tbsp of sugar to sweeten it up. I also used a can of crushed pineapple in heavy syrup to sweeten it up more. I really hate a strong mayo taste and this recipe has it if you don't add sugar.
