About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Anything sugary...especially if it includes chocolate! Noodles, noodles, and more noodles.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom's pies - just the best!! Her crusts are the best I've ever had. Grandma's mashed potatoes... no one could ever get them quite like hers. Our Christmas breakfast: scotch eggs, candied bacon, German stollen, marzipan, and melon. Grandma's sweet pototoes Mom's carmel corn
My cooking triumphs
Chicken noodle soup casserole The awesome chocolate cake for dad's birthday
My cooking tragedies
I haven't totally bombed (yet)... but I did saute yellow squash with cucumber once b/c I mistook the cucumber for zucchini! oops!

Delicious Matzo Candy
This flew off the plates at my boyfriend's family Passover Seder. We didn't have nuts on ours and it wasn't exactly crunchy, but we couldn't keep our hands off before OR after dinner! Keep them in the fridge (freezer even better) to prevent them from getting soggy and melted.

Pineapple Angel Food Cake I
A really nice and light treat that my girlfriends all loved! I also loved how easy it was! I used the 2-bag mix b/c that was all I could find at the store, but it still worked out fine. I would like to add coconut per previous reviews next time I make it. The only tip I'd recommend is to make sure to distribute the pineapple chunks throughout the batter after pouring into the pan. They won't all settle to the bottom quite as much this way. :-)
