Sloppy Joes II

This is really Great!!! I tripled the recipe and also used half ketchup and half barbecue sauce. This is the best sloppy joe we have ever had! Just a tip: we had this for lunch with rolls, then for dinner, I placed the left over on a 9x13 casserole dish, made the "Grandma Buttermilk Cornbread" also from this site, poured on top of the sloppy joe and baked until the corn bread was ready. Delicious! and great for my meal plan.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Oh wow! Oh wow! I have since given up on using a bread machine to make bread. I just prefer bread made sing a bosch mixer or a Magic Mill Assistent (which is what I have). I have made this recipe as dinner rolls 5 times. I even made it for thanksgiving and everyone raved about it. My hubby and son asked me to make this into a loaf of bread which I did today (I doubled the recipe, using a 9x5 loaf pan, I baked at 375 for 20 mins). WOW!!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. Since I grind my own grain (Prarie gold) that is what I used for all the recipes and it still came out excellent. Thanks

Slow Cooker Corn Chowder

This is was awesome slthought I made some changes. first I stir fried the onions in a stick of butter, then I added about 3 tablespoons of crumbled bacon to the stir fry, then added the potattoes about 2 mins later, stired and covered to cook for about 3 mins, then I transfered all to slow cooker. I then added a can of corn kernne and a can of creamy corn. I used c hicken brothe instead of water. The results was absolutely amazing!!!!

Honey Wheat Bread I

This bread has become a hit not only in my home, but in my firends' homes! I have changed it a little bit. To get sweeter wheat bread, I use 1/4 cup condesned milk diluted in 120z of water (both water and milk should equal 12oz), since I grind my own wheat (Prairie Gold), I use four cups of wheat and one cup of bread flour. Instead of shortening, I use 1/4 cup of oilve oil. Simply delicious!! I get nothing but praise when I bake this.
