Hamburger Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2011
This recipe is GREAT because it's very customizable. I added Worcestershire sauce, lots of minced garlic, bread crumbs, chopped jalapeños and thyme to the meat mixture. I also sprinkled garlic powder over the slices of bread before putting them in the tin. I didn't find it bland at all. It came out of the muffin pan perfectly and intact. It's perfect with hot sauce. Next time I'll try adding bacon!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2010
This cake is amazing, and it's completely customizable. You can mix up the ice cream flavors, mix up the cookie flavors, add different toppings - and the outcome will always be delicious. I made this for my mom's friend's 40th and it was devoured. The only problem I have is that the crust sticks to the bottom.

Double Chocolate Brownie Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
WOW! I made this for my mother's 40th birthday and everyone could not get enough of this cake! I got compliments all throughout the night, people wanted to take slices home and everyone wanted seconds and thirds. This is a cake that can sell! The chocolate chips don't melt at all in the cake and it tastes just like a brownie cake. Instead of icing I used melted chocolate chips on the top and drizzled it with Hersheys chocolate syrup. Beautiful and delicious. I will keep this recipe for a very long time.

Fresh Blueberry Pie II

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
I made this for Father's day and it was SO delicious. It's 4 stars because the instructions were not clear and that made me feel very insecure while making the pie. If anyone else is lost and is using a top pie crust as well, this is what I did: 1. I laid a 9inch pre-made Pillsbury pie crust in a glass pie pan, baked it at 350 degrees for 10 minutes BEFORE EVERYTHING. 2. Pulled it out of the oven and poured a box of blueberries in the semi-baked shell. 3. Combined the rest of the ingredients in a sauce pan, including the remaining 2pints of blueberries. 3. Cooked it for lower heat until the sauce pan was high in blueberry sauce. You can add cinnamon or vanilla if you want. 4. Poured it on top of the uncooked blueberries in the pie, added a top criss-cross pie layer and baked it at 450 for about 11-13 minutes.

Fettuccine Alfredo III

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2009
This is really good for something so simple to make. It only takes about 5-10 minutes to cook and put together, which is why I LOVE it because it's something you can do last-minute or when you dont have many ingredients on hand. But I made some changes. Since I'm on a diet, I used about 6-7tbsp butter, and added olive oil, some milk and white cooking wine to it. I also added Italian-seasoned chicken. Personally, I don't think it needs to be changed but if you don't like "simple" tasting food, you should add extra kicks to it. Four stars.

Strawberry Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2009
GREAT! I got called a Chef for making this bread, because it's so delicious and perfect! But I made some adjustments. Following another user's advice: I halved the recipe, used 1/4c oil, 1 1/2c strawberries, sprinkled with sugar and mashed, and I replaced the cinnamon with 1/2tsp nutmeg. It only needed to be cooked for about 40 minutes, and it turned out so good. Will definitely save this to remake it! Thanks!

Old-Fashioned Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
This is the only thing I've baked that my family has devoured completely. It needs no changes. The best thing about this delicious coffee cake is that it's so easy to make, it requires ingredients that you would usually find in any kitchen so you can make it anytime! And I will be making again. :)

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
I used mixed frozen vegetables instead of slicing up vegetables separately, and omitted the celery because I hate it. I cut up and fried the chicken in lots of seasonings, garlic and olive oil before adding it to the frozen vegetables. We also did not have onion so instead of cooking onion in butter, I cooked cut up potato in butter. To other reviewer's recommendations, I also added a little more chicken broth, milk, flour and half of the chicken&vegetable mixture to it as it simmered. I put this in my homemade Pie Crust IV and cooked it for 33 minutes on 450 degrees. Excellent and pretty easy.

Pie Crust IV

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
Alright, I have a few things to say about this recipe. First of all - some of the reviews here can be misleading. The ingredients are very easy and simple to put together, however, a child cannot make this without assistance. A BEGINNER level cook cannot even make this without assistance because the dough was hard to roll out for me. The dough is also very sticky so I had to refrigerate it for 30 mins and add extra flour when I was rolling it out. But other than that, it's a delicious outcome. I suggest brushing the top up with some butter before you bake and not taking this on alone if you don't have experience with pie crust.

Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
The bacon is a good idea, but next time I think I'll stick to my way of preparing deviled eggs. These were a bit plain. Good with some soy sauce though, lol.

Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2009
5 stars because grilled cheese sandwiches ARE the best! Why? Because they're so easy to make, and so delicious! Plus you can use cookie cutters to make fun shapes out of them. If you're on a diet, use healthier bread and omit the butter but use a little bit of mayo like the other reviewer said. ALSO, the heat is very important when cooking a grilled cheese sandwich. I would only suggest cooking it on medium heat in order to perfect it. Don't forget the pepper too!

Southwestern Burgers

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
These are really good; It's hard to resist gobbling it all down. I didn't use cumin, tomato, onion or lettuce leaves, and it turned out to be a delicious burger. I'd recommend putting mushrooms on it too. Definitely try this if you're tired of just meat and cheese.

Broccoli Cheese Soup V

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
I used fresh broccoli and made only 2 servings according to this website (although it makes more), and sliced cheese instead of velveeta. I also used a bit of garlic with the onion too, and the soup is tastes GREAT. It's not all that special though, however, it's very easy to make. I'd make it again.

Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
I used boneless chicken halves instead of whole chicken, used white sugar instead of granulated and didn't use fresh grated ginger but instead the powder kind you find in small bottles. I also marinated it overnight instead of for 3 hours. The result was very "tasteful" and delicious, much like teriyaki chicken although I didn't follow the recipe exactly. You can do it either way, the outcome is very good. I would make again.

Strawberry Yogurt Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
This was a very good strawberry cake. It may seem difficult to make for beginners but it's not at all. I had it for my birthday. I followed a user's suggestion and stirred together 1 thawed container of whipped cream and an extra cup of strawberry yogurt in a small bowl. I then added drops of red food coloring to it and it gave the frosting a nice pink color. It turned out good. I would recommend it to strawberry lovers like me. =)

Creamed Hard Boiled Eggs

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
We ran out of a lot of food supplies and I'm on a low-carb diet, so I was delighted to see this low-carb, yet very simple recipe! This is very easy to make. The sauce is delicious, and I think can even be used to dip biscuits or toast in. But I made some slight adjustments. I used margarine instead of normal butter, put 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese in a bowl before adding to the sauce, added garlic, onion powder and other seasonings to it. Then I put it in the sauce and it was great. thanks for the recipe!

Snowballs II

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2008
I decided to remake these again, after horrible failure the first time because I recalculated the recipe. That is my only advice - do not recalculate unless you know what you're doing. Otherwise - following this recipe exactly, they turned out so DELICIOUS! Perfect! I can't make these again because I'll eat them all!

Chicken Enchiladas V

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2008
THANK YOU FOR THIS RECIPE!! This was an easy dinner, and so delicious, that I got so many compliments! Someone even said I should cook for a living and after tasting a bit, they wanted one! :) I took some suggestions, and instead of the chicken soup I used salsa velveeta cheese (in the box) and used the recipe on it. It says to slice up the velveeta and add 1/2 cup chunky salsa, then heat it in the microwave for 3 mins. This I used to mix with the sour cream instead of the soup. (It made a huge bowl so I poured it into the sour cream mixture to my liking) I also used someone's suggestion and when I spooned the chicken mixture on the tortillas, I also spooned some of the sour cream mixture as well. Keeps it moist and yummy. :) ALSO -- I dont think 9x13 pan will hold 8 burritos. I suggest making 5 instead, to put more filling in! Once again, THANK YOU so much for this recipe. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes Spanish food, or anyone who wants to please guests at dinner with these magnificent enchiladas!
