Black Bean Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2014
This was a really simple recipe that was delicious and filling. I did make a few changes based on the reviews (used half the stock suggested), my tastes (doubled the garlic, added oregano), and what ingredients I had on hand (only had one can of black beans, but I had a can of kidney beans, so I used that too). It's a really easy recipe to tweak or add more veggies too. It was picky 6 year old approved. I'll definitely be using it again.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2012
Incredibly easy to make with items most people probably have in their pantries. Instead of baking chicken, we used it for stir fry. Great taste and consistency, I'd definitely make this again. I'll probably use a little less sugar next time though, it's a touch on the sweet side.

Grilled Brown Sugar Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 30, 2012
So easy. A little on the sweet side, so I added about a bit of white wine vinegar. Really good. The fam decided that we'll definitely need to make that sauce again.

Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
I added a couple other ingredients (corn, more beans, mushrooms, tomatoes) and cooked the pasta in the soup rather than in a separate pot, but other than that I followed the recipe and it was fantastic. Would definitely make again.

Dreamy Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
This is amazing. I could eat it with a spoon. It's like cheesecake filling without the crust. It's good with fruit, but I took it to a party and it also worked as a dip for plain sugar cookies and Terra's sweet potato cinnamon chips. When I make it again I'll try it without the butter as others have suggested, but it's delicious as is.

Butterscotch Apple Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
Soooo good. I followed the recipe exactly as is and it was super good. Moist and flavorful cookies. The cookies themselves weren't too sweet, but the glaze is what put them over the top. I made a batch with and without glaze to take them to a party, so those with less of a sweet tooth could choose between the two. They seemed to be a hit.

Teriyaki Marinated Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
I didn't bake it, I threw it in a pan with some veggies and added a little teriyaki glaze from Sprouts, but I marinated the chicken over night using this marinade. Really flavorful. I definitely intend on using the marinade again.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake VII

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
I decided to go with a 9x13 pan instead of the iron skillet and I also drained the pineapple juice into the batter as suggested by other users. It turned out really well, although I might use more brown sugar next time. I think that had to do with it being in the pan instead of the skillet though.
