Big Soft Ginger Cookies

This is a good recipe. Mine turned out to be delicious. I used lemon juice to replace the water which gave it a fresh twist. However the cookies are flat. Maybe chilling the dough before baking would help.

This is a great recipe except the muffin came out a little too soft so it break up easily. will try to cut off a bit baking powder.

Red Broccoli Salad

It tastes fresh and delicious. I sticked to the recipe except cut half of the sugar. The flavors of bacon, vegi, fruit and nut blended surprisingly well. Next time I will substitute yogurt for mayonnaise and cut off 3/4 sugar and 1/2 bacon, just to make it healthier. Thanks very much for the recipe!

This recipe was ok but it didn't wow me as I expected. I baked 45min in 375F, the crust was perfect but filling was runny.

Creamy Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
I made this pie for my friend's B-day party and everyone loves it!! :) I took some people's advice to cut some sugar(used 3/4 c) from the sour cream mixture, I also put more sour cream(2/3 c) and left about 1/4 mixture behind. It seemed to be a bit tart for me but I get comment from other people that it was just right bc it brought out the flavor of the blueberries. I don't know, the pie was gone in like 10 seconds, I just got a small bite of it. I guess how much sugar depends on how sweet the blueberry is, mine was tart. I will keep the same amount of sugar and use all the mixture the next time and see how it goes. Thanks for the recipe!!!

Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2009
I used country ribs, 2 tbsp red wine vinegar, substitute 1c catchup with BBQ sauce, reduced chili sauce to 1/2 cup, skip the Worcestershire. Since I used fresh oregano instead of dry, and all I could get from my garden was 2 tsp, I added some thyme as well. I followed the recipe with everything else. The result was OK, a little bit too sweet and spicy for me. Next time I will reduce brown sugar by half and eliminate the hot sauce.

This is a good recipe but not great. it's hard to make the icing penetrate cake evenly.

Easy Pie Crust

This recipe is good for pie crust but it's definitely not for top. The dough doesn't stick together, which made it impossible for lattice or any other top crust.

Butter Flaky Pie Crust

Absolutely delicious! I tried the Apple Pie by Grandma Ople on this site and used this recipe for the lattice. I froze the butter after cutting them into thin pieces, it made it much easier to handle. It turned out great! So flaky and buttery. Will definitely use it again!

This is a great recipe! It made my first pie ever such a success! I followed everyone's advice, added cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla to the syrup, mix 2/3 syrup w apple filling then pour the other 1/3 on top. i also brushed the edge with egg wash so it has this golden brown color after baking. Simply delicious!

World's Best Potato Salad

This recipe is great. I did use less sugar and more starch though. The dressing thickens nicely and taste very well. I made this for a party last week, everyone asked for recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2008
I tried this recipe today and it turned out awesome! I added soup, margarine and dressing mix with chicken legs(I like their tenderness) and thinned with 1/2 c. milk. Cooked only 3.5 hours (I would have waited 4 hours if my husband wasn't drooling already). I threw in some broccoli and carrots half way for nutrition. Then added 3 oz. 1/3 less-fat cream cheese, 2 tablespoons of sour cream and cooked another 10 min. Served it over spaghettis. It was soooo delicious!!
