Prune and Olive Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2013
Very good blend of ingredients, cooking it @ 350 deg for 1 hour is not enough to make it tender-- with the rack in the middle of the oven, give it at least 1.5hrs, if you want it more tender, maybe an extra 15mins. add a good amount of salt, i used 1 tsp but it's lacking a pinch at every bite. don't disregard this recipe so easily, my husband devoured 3 servings of it, and he's been on a strict diet prior :)

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2013
my rating probably wouldn't matter now that a lot of people has already given 5 stars... this is soooo yummy! my anything-cheesy-fan hubby ogles on this, and he doesn't even like sweets! thanks for sharing such an excellent recipe!

Tofu Stroganoff

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2012
sorry but i really didn't find this recipe appealing at all. i had to add sugar because it's so sour, put in 2 bullion cubes and some salt because it's so bland, and put in a packet of Ikea's gravy to make it gravy-like, similar to traditional stroganoff. i probably would use beef next time & find a really good recipe. this one wouldn't be missed by me or my husband.

Oven Barbecued Beef Brisket I

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2011
This is my first brisket and I can say that this is awesome! I used the Bourbon Whiskey BBQ Sauce from this site and instead of adding water, I used the beef juice itself and mix it with the BBQ sauce.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
unbelievably good recipe! hats off! this is my first time baking banana bread & 3rd time baking from scratch but i felt like an oven genius! i just used 4cups of flour & 7 large bananas to prevent a very "thick bread" & compact the flavor. adding sugar & cinnamon at the bottom is plain genius. thank you for sharing! :>

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
after tasting it, seemed to me like it was kind of bland, like missing some kind of saltiness. for asians, you might be familiar with fish sauce-- i added abt 1 tsp fish sauce (more to taste), & then it was good beef stew, not exactly the best i've had. didnt become "fishy-tasting" at all, took off the flatline in the taste. i would probably still make this with some mushrooms.
