About this Cook
I am a 20 yr old wife and mother of two...I stay at home with my baby, my oldest is adopted...I think the greatest gift on this earth is to be able to stay at home with your children and love on them. It is also one of the most challenging. I love to do anything that has to do with beign a homemaker, but I have to admit I love reading about it more....
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE to bake bread. I don't know just calls me like some forlorn child, helpless in the dessert. OK, I admit, that's an exageration. But it is no exageration that I go out of my way to bake it, even to the point of giving it to strangers, just so I can bake more. I also like to cok soups, and to make salads. I'm kinda famous for those two, actually.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love the tradition that whoever cooks doesn't clean---esspessially whhen I cook! lol
My cooking triumphs
The first time that I made pie by myself I went on a limb and dd a fancy top to it. I was kinda scared but it turned out so well and everyone would exclaim..."oh, leaves!" it was really cool.
My cooking tragedies
I guess one tragedy would be that when I was younger, I wasn't taught how to cook, but I always wanted to learn. I used to try to bake bread with out a recipe, and when my mom would come home there was never the yummy loaf that I had envisioned, but a gooy gross mess all over the kitchen. I got into so much trouble.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies
These cookies were amazing. I followed the recipe to a "T" and loved how they came out. I have no mixer, so mixed by hand (wooden spoon) and they were just great. They are a little dryish, and moist at the same time. I normally like gooey cookies better, but this rocked my world. Amazing with some vannilla ice cream or to eat with coffee!

Amish Bread
This was a good bread. Probably not my absolute favorite in taste, but my family did enjoy it. Huge bonus points for simplicity of ingredients! I didn't even have to wonder if I had enough. Another bonus for being one solitary loaf. It makes it easier to eat it all before it goes dry that way!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits
This is so good, I use whole wheat flour, which doesn't rise as well, but really gives the bisquits something to claim. They are hearty, yummy things that I will make anytime I make bisquits
