About this Cook
This website is WONDERFUL! I've always enjoyed cooking and baking, but never was comfortable with experimenting with recipes for fear of really messing up. This website allows me to use everyones feedback on recipes and make a good thing into a great thing! Which is turning me from a good cook into a great cook. ;)
My favorite things to cook
Desserts...I love baking. Recently a recipe I have for cookie crust cheesecake cupcakes has been in great demand.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have to make a dutch apple pie every Thanksgiving. It's been something I've had to do since I was 16, when I just did it for fun, but my parents were so impressed that I have been made to do it every year since...I still enjoy it so long as someone else peels the apples. :) Thanksgiving is my favorite "traditional meal" not sure why...but I always enjoy it.
My cooking triumphs
Anything that I try making for the very first time that turns out my chili. Thanks broiler maker recipe...and the oh so helpful reviews below.
My cooking tragedies
Well there have been a couple. I forgot to put flour in brownies once...boy those were some sad looking crunchy pudding things...and the other I forgot to put eggs in a kahluha cake and it turned in something bad too. Bless my boyfriends heart for still eating it even though I couldn't figure out what I had done wrong...the person who gave me the recipe forgot to mention the eggs...whoops.

German Brotchen Rolls
These were perfect. Nice and crusty on the outside and warm and fluffy on the inside. Next time I will quarter the recipe, or at least half it, because they lose the crustiness if you freeze them, though they still taste great. Another reason to cut the recipe (unless you can actually cook all the batches at once) the first batch turns out the best, and the remainders sit out for to long and become to dense before baking so they don't rise as much during baking. I would love any feedback that could prevent this from happening .

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
A very yummy dish. I halved the recipe for two people, and added a 1 chicken boulion cube per can of water added in to cover the chicken, which was two. The flavor was fantastic! My only complaint is the lack of color. I garnished it with a little bit of green onion to give it some color.

Easy Honey Mustard Mozzarella Chicken
Good recipe. I felt there was too much sauce so the cheese that was on the side of the chicken ended up soggy instead of bubbly. I would also precook the bacon a little as the bacon was WAY to raw by the time the chicken was done. Again it was a good recipe, but with a few tweaks it could be a great recipe.
