Flea Terminator Dog Treats

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
Our Malamutes love these... can't stop at just one! :) I followed the recommendation to be sure to dry them out thoroughly so they stay fresh longer. Will make again -- great money saver!

Ooey-Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Easy and delicious! The dough was so easy to work with. It's been years since I made homemade sticky buns but this was a request from my husband. He loves them... me too! Thank you!

Almond Cherry Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2008
This is an easy dough to make and shape. I added 1/4 c. additional flour based on other reviews and used 1 tsp vanilla extract and 1 tsp almond extract. I gave as gifts and received great reviews and requests for the recipe! I can't stop eating them myself!

Easy, easy!! And the dogs love them! I substituted a cup of plain yogurt for the skim milk -- worked great. Will make again!

Cheesecake Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2013
OMG!! This was so easy and delicious. I only had one lemon on hand which yielded 1/4 c. juice. I had frozen lemonade concentrate... used a little less than 1/4 c. and added enough water to make the 1/4 c. -- maybe 1-2 Tbs. I cut back on the sugar a bit because of the sugar in the concentrate. Great flavor!! I also used another reviewer's suggestion and placed a sour cream topping on top to make it a little prettier for our reunion (2 c. sour cream, 1/3 c. sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla) -- worked great! Lovely recipe -- thank you!!

Pumpkin Whoopie Pies

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2012
Great flavors and so moist! I used a filling that is similar to the one for the Giant Ding Dong cake on allrecipes except I used all butter (no shortening) and added maple extract rather than vanilla. This provides a really fluffy and not too sweet addition to the cake-like cookies. This filling is commonly used for a Red Velvet Cake icing as well. I also "dried" the cookies on racks over night to keep them from sticking to each other or the container. Then filled them, placed wax paper between them, and refrigerated the container before taking to work the next day. Yummy!

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2011
Very easy and good flavor. I think next time I'll add some hot sauce when the quinoa and broth are added... just need a little more kick for our taste.

Bacon Quiche Tarts

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2013
Good taste but thinking it could be kicked up with some diced peppers or some hot sauce. Easy to make... To save time in the morning, the filling can be prepared the night before along with fixing and crumbling the bacon. I made Chef Jon's biscuit recipe on AR rather than the canned biscuits. Rolled dough to 1/4", cut into circles and placed in muffin tins - stretching slightly and pressing around bottom and sides; baked dough for 3 min at 425; then added the filling and baked at 375 for 18-20 mins.

Maple Glazed Turkey Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2013
Doubled the recipe for a 7 lb turkey breast roast for Thanksgiving and we LOVED IT! Used the drippings to make gravy and it had an awesome flavor of sweet from the syrup and heat from the cayenne... My husband couldn't stop "grunting" his enjoyment throughout the meal... He's a man of few compliments and this one hit the target! :)

Awesome Spicy Beef Kabobs OR Haitian Voodoo Sticks

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2013
Good flavor but too spicy and that was after I reduced the cayenne. We like spicy but this made it hard to taste the rest of the meal. Will use 1/4 cayenne next time and make sure to serve it with a cool fruit such as pineapple or mandarin oranges and rice. Very easy though so we will make again. Thanks!

Candi's Grain and Nut Whole Wheat Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2013
Great flavor... so much better than a box mix and easy to make. I halved all ingredients except the egg; this made 10 4" pancakes. Plenty for me and my husband. I use pecans rather than walnuts in pancakes, and I added 1/2 Tbsp of ground flax seed for health benefits. Keeper!

Great flavor... love the tip others provided to include 2 tsps. of cornstarch. I halved the salt and may cut back a little more as I didn't miss it.

Wasn't sure what to expect as I'd never tasted a chimichurri sauce but also thought it looked good in recipes! This is good... leaves a lot of opportunity to tweak it to meet your own tastes! Thanks!
