Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2013
It's hard to decide how many stars to give a recipe after you've tweaked it. But since I really didn't make any drastic changes, I'll give it 5 stars. I used half white and half brown sugar and also used half white and half wheat flour. I would have cut the oil down if I had applesauce but I'm happy to say that the bread was not greasy. I added chopped walnuts on top of one of the pans before baking. I was able to make 3 large loaves, only filling the pans up about halfway. I took a couple loaves to work and got some weird faces when I told my coworkers it was blueberry zucchini bread but as soon as they took a bite, their faces lit up. This was even a hit with a picky eater!

London Broil II

Reviewed: May 25, 2013
Started the marinade the night before my trip to Vegas. Other dinner plans were made when I got there so the meat marinated for a few days before I was able to finally grill it. WOW, it was delicious. I was afraid that it would be too salty but it was perfect. The meat was so moist too. This recipe is a keeper!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2012
Baking the last of these cookies now. I had to sneak one to try it.... WOW! Very chocolatey! Love it! One person that gave only one star said that they were dry and too big. First of all, the name says big and fat. What part of those words did they not get? I didn't find these dry at all. They must have done something wrong. This is a must have recipe for all the chocolate cookie lovers.

Crustless Cranberry Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2012
4 bags of cranberries used for centerpieces for a party. Party is over and I didn't want to waste the cranberries. A coworker said to make a cranberry pie. Cranberry pie? Never heard of it. Looked up cranberry pie on Allrecipes.com and found this great recipe. Simple simple simple! Cakey type of texture, tart, not too sweet and very tasty. I didn't make any changes to this recipe and it came out fine. Since I still have a ton of cranberries left, I might make a few more batches and maybe add some orange zest or maybe some blueberries.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2011
Be careful when making for a party, you'll end up eating most of them before the party. I made these a few times and one time, I was out of semi sweet chocolate chips and used milk chocolate instead. Not as good. I will make sure I have semi sweet chips next time I make these cookies.

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
Wow, great recipe. I am not a great cook so I usually go to my parents for info. My mother told me that top round roast is tough meat. Thank goodness for this recipe. I followed the directions as is. I sliced the cooked meat really thin, soaked it in some au jus and made some of the best beef dip sandwiches I've ever had. My parents were very pleased! Thanks for this wonderful and easy recipe.

my family did not like this. I guess our taste is different from most of the raters for this recipe. It was just too sweet for us.

Easy Pumpkin Cream Trifle

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
So easy and very yummy! I did forget to add the pumpkin spice but it still came out good. I did not have a trifle bowl so I just used a regular glass bowl. I still had some to make another bowl.

Asian Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
A little too sweet for my familys taste so I added more soy sauce since I already added the sugar. Came out fine. My mom loved it and asked for the recipe.

Mexican Bean Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2009
I made this for our memorial day bbq... mom couldn't keep her spoon out of the bowl. I cut down the oil & vinegar per some of the other reviews and it was still good. Not too overpowering. I'm saving this in my recipe box.

Easy Lemon Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
DELISH! People are complaining that these taste like Fruit Loops. Well, I happen to love Fruit Loops! They're made from lemon cake mix and taste like it. If you're expecting the flavor of lemon bars or something a little more sour, make something else. These cookies are super easy and taste great... kinda addictive. heehee
