Simple BBQ Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2014
Very good recipe! Hubby loves it! :D I don't want the rib to be too soft, falling off the bone. So I boiled the rib in the pot for 45 mins. Then cooked in the oven for 60 mins. I basted the ribs every 20 mins. The last 20 mins cooking the ribs with foil removed. Then added 7 mins broiling the ribs with 400F. VERY YUMMY!

Chef John's Tandoori Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2012
I cooked them in a oil-sprayed pan in the oven 335F for about an hr. I pour away the juice every 15mins so the chicken will look nicely baked and dried at the end. They taste good and easy to make. Oh, I marinated them for about 6 hours. Also, I oil spray the chicken surface lightly 10 mins before its out of the oven. Will be making this again for sure!

Easy Barbecued Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 10, 2012
It is indeed a very easy and simple dish to make. Before I cook the pork, I add some black pepper and salt, also few pinch of flour to mix cover the pork. And then just brown them in the skillet for few minutes. I like the extra brown crispy texture the flour gives to the meat. The sauce is yummy. I din't change anything and just followed the recipe. Will definitely make this again. EAsy n delicous!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2011
Hubby wants some Tilapia therefore I tried out this recipe seeing the good ratings. It is indeed a very easy prepared meal and it is tasty! I added 3 tablespoon of crumb bread into the mix as well a teaspoon of paprika. Will definitely make this again and will reduce the butter to half of what the recipe calls for.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
Hubby loves this very much and he talked about this all night. It is indeed a very fancy meal and not hard to prepare and cook. I dipped the chicken in the egg wash and roll them in seasoned breadcrumbs. After that, I browned the chicken in the pan. Then I put the chicken in the pre heat oven for 20 mins. I can see my hubby asking me to cook this very soon!

Thai Spiced Barbecue Shrimp

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
I did not marinate the shrimp for an hr. I mixed in all the ingredient in a bowl with the shrimp for about 5 mins and I stir fried them with olive oil. (just shrimp without the sauce). When the shrimp are cooked, I put aside in a plate and pour in the remained sauce into the pan. Then, mix in a cup of heavy cream and 2 tbsp of parmesan n romana cheese. Cook n stir the sauce until it is thicken. Pour the sauce over the pasta and serve with the shrimp! It is delicious! =)

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
This is the first banana cake recipe I ever tried and I don't think I need to look for any other. It is sooo good! I made one for my sister in law for her birthday and my whole family loves it! Remember to use the right size of pan! I use pyrex 9x13" and it turned out fantastic. About the baking time, I baked the cake about 1 hour and 20 mins. You should check your cake after 1 hour in the oven as different oven might have different result. I only make half portion of the frosting and reduce the sugar to 1 and 1/2 cup. Also, I added in chopped walnut after I mixed in the mashed banana. Very very good cake and easy to make! LOVE IT!!!

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
It is definitely a very presentable snack to be displayed on the table. I made this for Christmas eve family gathering and my family loves it. I could not find fried bean in the store so I just got a can of red bean and followed the recipe, mixing up with the taco seasoning mix. I made a mistake when adding the salsa in. I should have poured away the excess salsa juice in the jar before pouring in the whole thing in. Thats why the dip became kinda watery at the middle part due to the juice. Will definitely make this again but will do it half size!
