Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
Awesome. I never thought to use sour cream and provolone. I used crushed tomatoes instead of prepared sauce & added seasoning. This is now my go to recipe for Baked Ziti. Thanks for sharing.

Anaheim Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2009
We really enjoyed this recipe. I used tilapia, jalapeno and onion (instead of leek & chili). I used canned diced tomatoes undrained (sub for broth, I ran out). I made a sour cream, chopped chipotle mixture to add on the taco once served. Even better topped with sliced avocado. I really love fried fish tacos but this is just as good but in a healthy way. Can't wait to make again.

Southwestern Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2009
First recipe I came across on the allrecipes spinner app. I follow the recipe as listed, did add more lime juice & cumin (love the combo). Excellent side dish with grilled chicken or portabella mushrooms. Makes a very good main dish for a vegan.

Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2011
Wow this is too easy & tasty to be true. I made slight changes based on reviews. Halved 3/4 of the strawberries and chopped up remainder. Only used 3/4 cup of sugar & 1/2 water. I think this could work even if the strawberries aren't perfectly sweet. This will made many times this summer.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
Thanks for the recipe. Loved it and would make again. I made it as directed. The sauce alone would be awesome over pasta for Meatless Mondays.

Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
Egg-mazing! I never tasted or made deviled egg before but wanted to add something traditional to our Easter dinner. I couldn't have made a better selection. I used turkey bacon (some guests didn't eat pork). This has made us deviled egg fans! Most complained that I didn't make enough.

White Chocolate Macadamia Cranberry Dreams

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2012
My favorite cookie for XMAS 2011. I used cashews instead of macadamia and a bit less white sugar. Perfectly tasty and everyone raved about them.

Baingan Bharta (Eggplant Curry)

Reviewed: May 4, 2009
Awesome. I'm dieting and thought I had to give up Indian food, this is pretty close to what we get at our fav Indian spot. I used fat free sour cream (that's what I had on hand). Enjoyed with brown rice.

Fresh Blueberry Pie I

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2009
I never made blueberry pie before and this was really easy. I did use a frozen deep dish pie crush, fresh blueberries with extra lemon juice & zest. Substituted cornstarch for tapioca (less expensive). I also used a ceramic blackbird to release steam and had a perfect pie, not runny at all. Flavor was awesome. Calorie count not bad for pie.

Green Beans with Hazelnuts and Lemon

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2012
Excellent! I used roasted cashews (like the texture better) instead. I cooked green beans for about 3 minutes. Recipe taste good warm or cold.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
Wow! How great was this banana bread. My husband & I couldn't stop munching on it. I didn't use the egg, the batter was so creamy I didn't think it needed it. The cinnamon sugar was finger licking good.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
This was such a hit at our Easter dinner. Made the recipe as stated minus cheese (needed a vegan app.). I placed sun-dried tomatoes, garlic and basil in a mini food processor to save a few steps. Really good and would make again & again. We had a few spoonfuls left which we added to egg whites for breakfast. This would be amazing over pasta.

Bananas Foster Chimichangas

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2012
I didn't add the alcohol (ran out) and used low carb tortillas. Simple & tasty, I made the banana mixture first and when everyone was ready to eat, I assembled the chimichangas and fried them us.

Baked Fresh Cherry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2014
Awesome, fresh & amazing. It's worth pitting all those cherries (I now purchased a cherry pitter). I hate canned cherry pie so this was a real treat. I followed the recipe completely with no subs. Thanks for the recipe.

Chicken Suiza Cornbread Bake

This was a hit! I used all the chiles and added chili powder, cumin & hot sauce to the chicken - sour cream mixture. Super yummy, savory and sweet warm cornbread. We ate it right out of the oven.

No Time to Cook Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2011
I've made this about 4 times. Outcome is always tasty. I season chicken and add a bag of baby carrots to cook with whatever flavor condensed soups I had on hand (cream of celery and mushroom was a good combo). Seriously good with rice pilaf or egg noodles. I do use low fat sour cream and low sodium soups.

Kung Pao Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
I am in love with this dish. I made this for about 10 people (served with white rice) and got rave reviews, truly amazing dish. I had some picky eaters and they loved it. I used Mirin instead of wine, used rice vinegar and added bamboo shoots along with chopped chestnuts. Like most, I did double the marinate & sauce but left out cornstarch in the marinate. So good…
