Baked Fresh Cherry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2014
Awesome, fresh & amazing. It's worth pitting all those cherries (I now purchased a cherry pitter). I hate canned cherry pie so this was a real treat. I followed the recipe completely with no subs. Thanks for the recipe.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2013
Loved it. I did make some changes but only based on ingredients on hand. Used ground turkey instead of beef, roasted sweet potatoes (leftovers) and veggie broth. I'm sure I will make again as written. Overall, it was tasty and very easy to make.

Banana Cake VI

Great Birthday cake. Like most, I was weary to place a hot cake in the freezer but I did it & it was very moist. Will make again.

Bananas Foster Chimichangas

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2012
I didn't add the alcohol (ran out) and used low carb tortillas. Simple & tasty, I made the banana mixture first and when everyone was ready to eat, I assembled the chimichangas and fried them us.

Green Beans with Hazelnuts and Lemon

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2012
Excellent! I used roasted cashews (like the texture better) instead. I cooked green beans for about 3 minutes. Recipe taste good warm or cold.

I made these twice, 1st time as written and the 2nd I added more cornmeal, less flour and frozen corn. Really tasty & moist both ways.

White Chocolate Macadamia Cranberry Dreams

My favorite cookie for XMAS 2011. I used cashews instead of macadamia and a bit less white sugar. Perfectly tasty and everyone raved about them.

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
My 10 year old godson & I made this recipe exactly as written. It was very good & fun to assemble. He was able to cram all the cookies in. We did sprinkle lemon juice on the bananas so they wouldn't turn brown (several reviewers suggested). Thanks for sharing.

No Time to Cook Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2011
I've made this about 4 times. Outcome is always tasty. I season chicken and add a bag of baby carrots to cook with whatever flavor condensed soups I had on hand (cream of celery and mushroom was a good combo). Seriously good with rice pilaf or egg noodles. I do use low fat sour cream and low sodium soups.

Whole Grain Waffles

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2011
Great base recipe. I made a few basic changes like used egg whites and omitted the oil but upped the applesauce to 1/2 cup. I preferred using whole flax seed instead of ground. I will make this again.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2011
So easy & really good. As many reviewers suggested I used raw chicken (1.5 lb of skinless boneless thights) to the mix in the beginning & shredded after 4 hrs on high. I also substituted a 10 oz can of diced tomatoes with chiles for the whole peeled. I didn't add the can of chiles. It's a good base recipe that can be customized. I will make this again many times! Added guacamole & sour cream as a garnish.

Broccoli and Ramen Noodle Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2011
This took me longer to eat than make. Simply yummy. I made the following changes based on personal taste: Only used 1 seasoning packet (afraid it would be too salty). Reduced sugar to 1/4 cup. Substitute whole almonds for peanuts & olive oil for veggie oil. Might used rice vinegar & even less sugar next time.
