Quick and Easy Spinach Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2009
What a great easy recipe. I took the advice of others and doubled the garlic (maybe a little more even!). I added in some really thin sliced tomatoes and topped with some extra cheese and italian seasoning while it baked. Great for dipping in marinara. This is a keeper. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because the bread towards the inside of the roll never seems to really bake for me. As a result, its a tad squishy on the inside but still tastes great!

Spinach Pinwheels

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2009
Easy and great. I just used a small tub of onion and chive cream cheese and tore up some fresh spinach leaves to sprinkle all over the top until the cheese was covered. I can't imagine putting in more cheese than the recommended amount, but to each his or her own!

Suki's Spinach and Feta Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
Great recipe base. Subbed the tomatoes with a can of diced Italian-style and that worked out well. Also added a few more Italian spices to kick it up a bit, but overall tasted well on its own. I think you can get away with less feta but that's personal preference.

Czech Cabbage Dish

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
Tastes good and I would consider making again as a side (or a filling for egg rolls even!). Definitely can vary it quite a bit with the amount of bacon, vinegar, etc for personal tastes.

Delicious Black Bean Burritos

5 stars alone for the simplicity of this dish. Like others said, there are plenty of variations to make it your own -- can't seem to go wrong with this simple recipe base.

Campbell's® Slow Cooker Savory Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
Personally a bit salty for my taste, so I may consider adding 1/2 or 3/4 of the onion mix pouch next time. Otherwise it made a great tender pot roast - didn't even really need a knife because it was just breaking apart (that's a good thing!)

Pineapple Stuffing

Yummy with ham -- can't go wrong! I find I can get away with 3/4c sugar (even a little less than that) and its still delicious.

Lasagna Roll Ups

These worked out well. Like others, I was able to make about 14 before I ran out of filling. We added some Italian seasonings and ground beef, but otherwise the recipe worked out fine as is. Don't scrimp on the sauce -- it helps make everything bubbly and hot!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
Thanks to all the previous reviewers – I was armed with good info such as one can of biscuit dough being enough, rolling out and cutting the dough into strips, and the heads up that it takes at least an hour for those things to cook. Before I added the dough, I took a few minutes to shred the chicken a little bit and add a few cups of frozen veggies (although previous Southern reviewers think that’s blasphemous!). Overall delicious – definitely a keeper any way you tweak it :o)

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
The crockpot idea works out nicely to free up some stove top space and help with timing for other food prep. Otherwise, though, I didn't think the taste and texture was much different than the good ol' butter, milk, salt and pepper kind. I don't think I will make this recipe again since the extra calories from the cream cheese and sour cream just really didn't give much "bang for the buck" in my opinion.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
I think this chicken tasted okay as-is, and I'm sure it could be better after experimenting with different seasonings. Otherwise, its just a convenient way to cook a moist chicken (if you don't mind not having the crispy skin) -- nothing more, nothing less.
