About this Cook
My mom and dad cooked the same old meals all the time. When I moved out in my 20's I really felt inspired to learn how to cook. I mean come on I'm Italian! I feel if you can follow a recipe and add your own touch you can become a great cook! Somethings can't ever ruin a recipe... like onions, or cheese, or nuts.
My favorite things to cook
Comfort Foods
My cooking triumphs
I get great compliments about my meatloaf.
My cooking tragedies
Not cooking steak long enough, or adding too much seasoning...

Cornish Game Hens with Garlic and Rosemary
Made for Christmas dinner...found the Hens juicy, but a little bland like Chicken. Pureed the garlic and pan juices in a food processer for a great side sauce...

Pesto Sauce
Try using 1/4 cup cashews, only 1-2 cloves of garlic, and only 1/4 cup olive oil. Parmesan reggiano cheese is the best. To thin out, use 1/4 cup hot pasta water to add to noodles.

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup
This recipe is a good start. I used whole wheat wide egg noodles, large dash of black pepper, low sodium chicken broth, and 1 cup thinly sliced carrots. Also boiled un-cooked chicken in water for 25-40 min (length depending on how thick the chicken is) After chicken is cool shred and add to soup to warm.
