Curried Butternut Squash and Pear Soup
Followed this recipe to the letter; I'm sorry. Every one of the members of my family asked if we were having baby food for dinner. My older daughters tried valiantly to eat it, by my four-year-old candidly said it was the worst flavor ever. You might chalk that up to the finicky palates of children, but I am a lover of Thai and Indian foods.

Irish Lamb Stew
This recipe is fantastic. I made it for an Irish friend who has traveled throughout the Emerald Isle sampling their stews, and he absolutely raved about it. He said it was better than any he had tried in Ireland. To save money, I used leg of lamb rather than shoulder. I worried it might not be tender enough, but we could cut it with our soup spoons! Also, you must simmer the carrots and potatoes much longer than the recommended 20 minutes to soften them. Lastly, I definitely recommend letting the cooked dish sit in the fridge overnight. Reheat on the stove the next day before serving. This is absolutely perfect!

Seared Ahi Tuna with Watercress, Chile, and Ginger Salad
Not a fan. I made the salad dressing exactly as described and drizzled over my own mix of greens with seared ahi. I love salads and am by no means a picky eater. I couldn't eat the salad. My husband gave it a 'B' though, stating the healthiness made up for the salad's lack of good flavor.
