Green Tea Layer Cake

I added the red bean into the recipe. I would recommend adding 1.5 cups instead of the 1 cup. The red bean flavor doesn't come out as strong as the green tea.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

I followed the modifications to use 1/2 more cup of flour and cut the salt back to 1/2 tsp. I also added 1 cup of toffee bits. They were a hit at the party and office.

Poppy Seed Lemon Loaves

excellent recipe~the loaf was very dense and flavorful. I would have liked it to be a little bit fluffier. Next time I will use a hand beater to fluff up the butter and eggs.

Banana Crumb Muffins

This recipe is difficult to perfect. Each time I make it, the crumb topping turns out differently depending on the topping ingredient ratio. The banana muffin itself tastes excellent though. Lots of banana taste.

Plain Caramel Apples

one recommendation is to use soft caramel candy instead of the hard ones. The caramel coating is too crunchy when used the hard caramel candies.

Easy Apple Cinnamon Muffins

I read through the reviews before making these muffins. I'm glad that I did. For my batch, I used only brown sugar and granny smith apples. I have to agree with one reviewer that the taste is rather flat. I wonder if the flavor could be better if I added more cinnamon to the batter. The topping came out excellent though. The muffins came out a dark golden brown and had great texture on the top.

Cranberry Muffins

these muffins were very moist and the texture was excellent. The balance between the sweetness of the muffin and tart flavor of the cranberries were perfect. I made them several times and I skipped the sour cream once. The muffins were dry and crumbly. :( That portion must not be left out.

Apple Crumb Pie

I followed the recipe and I got a really tasty apple crumb pie. I served it to friends and family and they all loved it. Follow the recommendation to wait until completely cooled to cut the pie to allow juices to congeal.

Strawberry/Rhubarb Crumb Pie

I made this pie once and the filling was too runny. I would try making this pie again following the recommendation of adding cornstartch to thicken the filling. In addition, I only made it with strawberries as filling and it was too sweet with the 1 cup of white sugar. If I were to make it again only with strawberries, I would probably cut the white sugar down to 3/4 or even 1/2 cup.

Tiramisu II

I followed the instructions and I got a delicious tiramisu cake. I followed the recommendations left by one of the reviewer and left the cake in the fridge for one night before eating it. The rum soaked through the ladyfingers and flavor was wonderful.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

I followed all the instructions and came out with a perfect cheesecake. I do recommend leaving the cheesecake in the oven for several hours before refrigerating or else the center will be runny and uncooked. I made this as several different parties and at least one person asks me for the recipe every time.
