About this Cook
My name is Jenn. I'm 25 years old and I live in South Carolina with my fiance. I recently moved here in January 08'. I moved from New Jersey, in which I lived for my entire life. We have a puppy, well he just turned a year, he is a pitbull boxer mix who is one of the smartest dogs I've ever come across. He is "our son". =) As far as cooking, I'm just beginning. I love to bake. I used to hate cooking, but now I'm learning that I actually really love it. It's definitely a way to express myself.
My cooking triumphs
Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs, Pumpkin Cheesecake Squares, Cowboy Caviar, Candied Sweet Potatoes, Turkey in a Bag, Spritz Cookies
My cooking tragedies
Fruity Gelatin Spritz Cookies

Cream Cheese Cookies I
These were very tasty cookies, my boyfriend ate the whole batch!! I added extra sugar (we like things sweet) and I put Hersheys Mini Kisses on top on some, Reeses Chips on top of others, and also all different kinds of sprinkles (I think sugar crystals were best). They were very tasty.

Cowboy Caviar
This is my new favorite thing to bring to parties!! Everyone loves it and it's gone within minutes!! I modify the recipe a little - I use 1 can white corn, .5 cup frozen yellow corn, pickled jalepenos (approx. 1/4 cup), approx 1 whole diced sweet onion, 1/4 cup cilantro chopped finely, 1/4 cup green onions chopped finely, 2-3 tomatoes, 1 cup black eyed peas, .5 to .75 cup shredded cheddar cheese and almost entire reg. bottle Kens Italian Dressing. This is such a great recipe because of all the flavors, it's like nothing you've tasted before!! Definitely a party hit!!

Candied Sweet Potatoes
Absolutely LOVE this recipe, no doubt it will be a yearly tradition now. I had boiled the sweet potatoes too long, so it turned out to be "Mashed Candied Sweet potatoes" but I actually think I like it better!! My family LOVED it!!
