About this Cook
I am retired from a job that I had for 35 years.I am still working at another job full time. I am a widower, with three grown children, six grandchildren and 1 great grandchild with a great grandchild on the way. I love to do many things.I love the movies ,going out with friends, reading, baking, antiquing, going to auctions.
My favorite things to cook
cakes and desserts,casseroles
My favorite family cooking traditions
There isw thanksgiving coming up and my family loves all the foods that are traditional during this holiday. Turkey and of course that wonderful dressing and giblet gravy.Pumpkin pie, sweet potato souffle and just everything. Our table is very full at this time of year.
My cooking triumphs
I make a very good lasgne casserole. My children love it.I can make ma nice wedding cake, although I have not done that in a while.
My cooking tragedies
homemade fudge although I do not need to be even around that anyway. I can never get that to harden.A lot of people I have talked to have that same problem.I am sure there are a lot more.I just cannot think of them.

Broccoli Casserole III
Although this was served at my thanksgiving dinner and it was very good. I had trouble with my cheese melting and getting it to blend in with my broccoli.I wound up having to melt my cheese in th microwave and pouring it over my broccoli. I literally had to pick the hunks of cheese out of the broccoli.I do not know what went wrong but am going to try again.
