About this Cook
Crazy but in a refined way. Ethical and trustworthy.
My favorite things to cook
Hors d'oeuvres and desserts but everything else is good too.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We cook and we eat.
My cooking triumphs
No deaths from my food.
My cooking tragedies
No real tragedies in the way of death here. Well, maybe that I don't have my Kitchenaid mixer here in Italia and couldn't use it anyway due to voltage problems. Sigh. Oh, and I have never been able to accomplish candy making, but why put Hershey's out of business anyway?

Best Steak Marinade in Existence
I didn't care for the seasonings. I will try this again with horseradish, mustard and onion instead of the garlic, basil, and parsley. Of course, it will hardly be like the original.

Hungarian Mushroom Soup
I used different types of mushrooms for interest. I served this with a dollop of Greek yogurt in the center. It was delicious and well worth the effort.

Winter Energy Cookies
I added a dollop of yogurt for moistness because I cut the butter to 1/2 cup as suggested and added 1/2 cup of applesace. Although i love nuts, the prices for them are so high right now, so I used 1/2 cup nuts and 1/2 of sunflower seeds. I gave the oats a quick toast as well. I used dark chocolate chips as a healthier choice. Makes a great on-the-run breakfast instead of expensive breakfast bars!
