Herb Rubbed Sirloin Tip Roast
FANTASTIC dry rub! I used fresh herbs and included rosemary and sage and it came out beautifully. I actually cooked my roast in a dutch oven so when I took it out of the oven to rest, I added onions, garlic, mushrooms, and flour, cooked that mixture for a bit then added chicken stock and let simmer on the stove top for 5-10 minutes. Finished the sauce off with some chives and let me tell you, a delicious accompaniment to the roast!

This was fairly easy and had a great flavor. I recommend adding a bit of sugar to the warm water when you are dissolving the yeast as it helps with rising the dough a bit quicker. I also added some baking soda to help make it a little more bubbly but not really sure if it helps too much as I didn't see a huge change as I normally do when adding baking soda to recipes. I baked half the recipe in a cast iron skillet and it turned out phenomenal: had that grill, charred flavor that is typical of naan. The other half I baked in the oven for 10 minutes at 375 and it resulted in a product EXACTLY like pita: pocket and all! The only thing I noticed is that it didn't have a big garlic flavor so I will definitely be making garlic butter to spread over during the cooking process. All in all, a keeper recipe!

Habanero Pepper Cream Pasta
Pretty darn good. I used half and half to save on calories and fat AND added another half of dried habanero pepper for more kick. Will definitely keep this one for future use.
