White Bread For The Bread Machine

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
I've made this recipe three times already and absolutely LOVE it! I make it as is, and it comes out great every time. There are only two people in my household, so I've had problems in the past with stale loafs of bread. To avoid this, I slice this bread up once it has completely cooled, pop the sliced loaf into a Ziploc bag, squeeze all the air out, then store the loaf in my freezer. When I'm ready to eat the bread, I take a slice or two from my freezer and microwave the bread for 20-30 seconds. Voila! I have fresh, not-stale bread. I've been able to make my loaves last up to 10 days this way.

Honey Wheat Bread I

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
I've made this bread for my family every week for the past month. I make the whole loaf in my bread machine and it comes out PERFECT every time. I was a bit cautious about the amount of salt in the recipe, but 2 tsps is fine given the size of the loaf. First, I dissolve the yeast in the sugar/water mixture directly in my bread machine pan. Then I add the rest of the ingredients in the order listed in the recipe. All the ingredients fill my bread machine pan about 3/4 of the way, but that's fine. I pop the pan in the bread machine and set the machine on a whole wheat setting. About 5 hours later, I have SOFT, YUMMY honey wheat sandwich bread! It's so exciting!

Peanut Butter Cake II

Reviewed: May 18, 2010
This cake was yummy, but the peanut butter frosting on peanut butter cake was too much. My cake was four layers filled like this: layer, pb frosting, layer, chocolate ganache, layer pb frosting, layer. Guests told me that they wished I had filled the whole cake with chocolate ganache to cut the sweet taste of the peanut butter cake. Also, the cake is VERY soft. This is good for some, but if you want a four layer cake this recipe wont do. My cake smooshed in on itself because it wasn't dense/sturdy enough. Also couldn't cover with fondant, but I should have known that as most box cakes aren't sturdy enough.
