Apple Bavarian Torte

The base was a bit oily and the cream cheese might've been better layered throughout the apples; perhaps I've missed some instructions. Regardless of the look, 'twas tasty. Thanks for the recipe ^^.

Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries

So yummy ^^ Made this to go with a dinner at my boyfriend's house. We mixed the batter and it was rather runny at first. Then we set it in the fridge for about three hours. When it came out the batter was quite set and we were tempted to eat it as was. Popped it into the oven and ended up baking for ten minutes. Allowed ramekins to cool for thirty seconds or so before turning onto a plate and chowing down. Thanks for the recipe!

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

This may just be my inexperience (or a leaky oven) but each time I've made it the meat has come out close to rare, which is a problem for the guys in my family that like their meat closer to medium. Shall keep trying, but thanks for the recipe.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Good! Using milk in this icing makes for a great recipe, but it might be a good idea to use white syrup if possible. Corn syrup adds a tinge of yellow and makes it hard to colour. Also, investing in a few gel colours might not be a bad idea -- I used the cheaper liquid food colouring and the colours didn't turn out as nicely as I hoped, partly because you can only go so far with balancing colour and corn syrup tint. Icing, when dried, is great -- it's not too sweet even if you glop on a lot. Thank you for the recipe =)

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

These cookies store fairly well, whether the dough is being chilled in the fridge or baked and in a cookie tin for several weeks. However, they're not the softest of cookies. A great cookie for decorating -- you can hardly go wrong with them and they are very much what another reviewer called "a sturdy cookie." Thanks for the recipe!

Chewiest Brownies

Delicious! This recipe produces brownies like you wouldn't believe. My friends have been constantly harping on me to make more each time they come over. If you're interested in making little brownies, like the two-bite ones that are incredibly addictive, mine turned out quite well when I baked the batter in small silicone muffin cups for 14 minutes @300F. Have fun with this... they are so good!

Chocolate Yule Log

Oh huzzah huzzah. I didn't use the cream recipes at all (maybe next time, and my brother isn't too fond of coffee), but the cake turned out beautifully! Instead of cream, I crushed up half a carton of strawberries and boiled them until they were bubbling hot, then spread them over the cake. When using a cloth to roll up the cake, MAKE SURE IT'S A LINEN CLOTH. Anything else will stick like mad, and cause a mess to boot (as I found out the hard way). Someone might try parchment paper as well to roll up the cake, that might work. Anyway, the strawberry filling oozed out of the cake and I let it sit in the fridge for a while. Took it out prior to taking it to the party and stuffed it with fresh strawberries by poking a chopstick through the whole thing. Be careful. Also cut off the ends of the roll to make it look a little nicer. Sprinkled on a bit of icing sugar and *voila!* there it was, a yummy cake for my brother. Yay and thank you (=

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Man, I have never cooked a steak before and this turned out great! Thanks to all the reviewers before me who lent their wise words to this recipe. Let the meat rest after marinating it in salt, pepper and a mixture of roasted garlic/red pepper. Also poured some balsamic vinegar over the meat (my cut was round of eye and sandwich steak) to loosen up the meat for a bit. WARNING: If you're marinating overnight, don't pour on the vinegar until several hours before cooking. Since I didn't have any dry red wine (hey, I'm kinda underage), I simply added some brown sugar to the balsamic vinegar when cooking. It turned out delicious! My brother and I served these to our parents (it was their anniversary dinner) with a side of garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli and bruschetta. Yum yum yum. Thank you for such an easy recipe!

Homemade Vanilla Pudding

Yummy yummy yummy. Thank you for keeping me from boxed puddings. Some notes of caution to first-timers though: 1) Over-cooking the flour will cause your pudding to become stickier and stickier, until it's like glue. Don't do that. Turn off the heat when it's reached a consistency a little looser than what you like. It should thicken up as you continue to stir away from the heat. If you heat it until it reaches a consistency you like, the cooled mixture will be over-the-top gluey and not as fun to eat (although, I had fun with it). 2) Eating it cold? You'll need to add more sugar. Eating it hot? A little sugar will suffice. 3) Try spicing it up with cinnamon, caramom, lemon juice or even cocoa powder (for chocolate pudding)! Best Brownies

Mmm, these definitely turned out well! Sure, brownies are usually chewy and sticky, or whatnot, but these taste great anyways. I decided to make my own frosting by slicing about an 1/8 cup of butter into a saucepan, melting that into a cup of milk, and adding 1/2 cup of cocoa. The resulting sauce hardened into almost another layer of pure chocolate over the brownies - thank you for such a yummy brownie recipe.

Don't put this in the oven - chilling in the fridge or even freezing it will do just fine. Freezing might cause a more ice-cream like texture in the pudding, but otherwise, this pie was delicious. Thanks!

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Mmhm, yes, taste heaven right there. They were soft coming out of the oven, and almost overpoweringly sticky in the mouth when hot. It's best to let them cool (hold yourself back!) and wait until they've set. Then you can really enjoy them with that big glass of cold milk you were craving. Thank you!
