Beef Spring Rolls with Carrots and Cilantro

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
I went ahead and fried these because I wasn't sure how good they'd be uncooked. They turned out great! Thanks for the recipe!

Butter Crescents

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2010
I used this recipe for the crust of the Taco Pie recipe from this site and it turned out great! I made up the rest of the crescents according to these directions and they made the fluffiest crescents ever! Now I have plenty for the freezer saved for later, can't wait to dig into them! Thanks for the recipe!

Taco Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2010
This is was good! It's nice to have something besides the usual taco for a change. I used the Butter Crescents Recipe on this site and the Taco Seasoning I Recipe as well. Instead of sour cream I used plain yogurt and it still turned out great! Much healthier with these changes too! Thanks for the recipe! Will definitely make again!

Super Fajita Marinade

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
I used this for my fajitas tonight and didn't have time to let them sit in the marinade but it still added so much flavor to the steak! Thanks!

Tortillas I

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
Excellent tortillas! I scaled down the recipe to 20 and made them bigger and thicker so I only got 5 but that was plenty for my husband and myself. I used olive oil instead of shortening. I'm adding these to my recipe box!

Dad's Flat Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
Ah, the way homemade bread should taste! I was worried it wasn't done after 25 minutes because it felt doughy but I sliced off a piece and it looked and tasted perfect. Very soft bread that melts in your mouth. I used stone ground rye and it was just enough to speckle the bread to give it a nice look. Definitely will make again! Thanks!

Naan

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
This is wonderful! I'm just getting these out of the oven and am eating them with hummus. I baked them on the second to last shelf in the oven around 500 degrees for about 7-8 minutes. Before baking I covered them in butter and sprinkled wheat germ over them. I learned from an Iranian friend to do it this way and he makes the best naan

Great and simple, that works for me! I only used 1/2 pound of gb and made about 20 meatballs to keep on hand in the freezer. Thanks for sharing!

I had ground beef and rotini and needed a quick meal to make, this was great! I skipped the baking part and it still turned out wonderful! Thanks for sharing!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
Great! In an effort to make it healthier I substituted a 16 oz bag of shredded mild cheddar cheese (regular, can't be low-fat because it won't melt) for the Velveeta. At first I got worried because it wasn't melting and just turning into clumps of cheese. After adding the cornstarch and turning up the heat it melted perfectly and the soup thickened so well! I only had a 32 oz box of chicken broth so it made it thicker for that reason as well. Love it!

Hot Chai Latte

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
I didn't have a lot of these exact ingredients but I wanted to make a chai tea latte with a shot of espresso for my husband because that's his favorite drink at our local coffee stand. I used the cup of water and milk then threw in some ground cloves, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, 4 tsp of sugar, and a tbsp of vanilla. After heating these together I added a Darjeeling tea bag and got the espresso ready. I then poured the tea mixture into the blender to make it frothy and I took out my portion before adding the espresso and frothing it in the blender again. My husband said it was good but not the same as the coffee stand so I'm going to get some cream and see if that helps because he wanted it thicker.

Pizza Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
Great! I made these with the Sunday Dinner Roll recipe from this website. After several attempts to find the best way to fit everything together I ended up rolling up the dough into one inch balls then I flattened them into rectangles, added the sauce and cheese (really great like this!) and folded them up, pinching the sides as much as possible. They weren't too hard to roll up, but once they cooked all the cheese oozed out so I'm still trying to perfect this. The cheese was easily stuffed back in and I ended up with 55 of them so now I have a ton in my freezer! Will definitely be making these when I run out! : )

Sunday Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
These are delicious! I was tempted to go easy and buy Pillsbury crescents but they're just so bad for you. Thankfully this recipe isn't much work! It's the crescent recipe I always come back to. I've done a hamburger ring with them where I place the dough triangles in a circle, fill with browned ground beef and cheese and then I roll up the crescents. Now I'm going to try the pizza roll recipe on this site with this dough.

Homemade Coleslaw Dressing

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2010
Before today I would have said I don't like coleslaw but this recipe changed that! I had a red cabbage from my mom's garden and needed a recipe so I tried this and I'm glad I did. Maybe next time I'll try adding in some craisins and walnuts.
