Strawberry Bread
I made this for the first time while visiting my aunt's elderly mother with changes as follows: I used a 16 oz. container of (thawed) frozen sliced strawberries, only 1 Cup of oil (since there was lots of juice in the strawberries) and 3 Cups plus "a little" flour. I've never measured 1/8 C of a dry ingredient so that was a little bit of guessing, but it turned out great! I had never heard of strawberry bread and was surprised to find that my aunt's mother hadn't either! I thought women of her generation, and especially her baking expertise, had heard of and baked everything possible! We both loved it, as did her daughters and caregiver! My family did get to try a little too (hehe) and loved it as well. I took the other loaf to a friend for him and his son and the review was "it was kicking!!" There's another batch of this in the oven as I type, although since I had some bananas mashed with as yet, noplace to go, I tossed in just a dab of them to see if I liked it that way too.

Sugar Cookie Glaze
I like this glaze. Very pretty! I sprinkled just a tiny bit of colored sugar into it while wet. They turned out quite pretty. My second time making this taught me that I made a mistake in this the first time...one I had to figure out how to repeat! I used 2 Tblsp light corn syrup and only 1 Tblsp rather than the other way around. The original way made it too runny for me.
